Thanks for the tutorials, I really enjoyed your videos. Very well explained! Any recommendations on music career paths/jobs? Thinking on sound engineering? Any personal advice or thoughts :)

Hey Irving! :) I've been a sound engineer for almost two decades now - as a career, it depends on where you are and what kind of sound engineering you want to do. Is it studio engineering, or live sound? Both, unfortunately, will take a hit during this COVID-19 period which we're all going through at the moment. If you're thinking about a career in music / studio work, I think producing would be the better option at the moment. The reason for this is because producing music relies on just you working to put out material, as opposed to you having to work with other people (which is traditionally what sound engineers do). Producing touches on aspects of sound engineering while not directly specialising in it, too so this gives you a bit more wiggle room to adjust and correct course later on. The added advantage of choosing a music production path is that there is a need for music in all sorts of online content - whether that's KZbin videos, digital media, online ads, etc :)

I've read people go to school but become greatly in debt. Would you know any online courses as an alternative? Again, thanks for your input. It shows grat humility 🙃 I bet you love what you do 🖖🖤

You can't, it's 2 decks only

When I change decks it wont play the music trough the box only trough my headphones when I headphone cue them

That's weird, no reason why not if the speakers were working for the other deck and the fader is up

I had the same problem too, then I waited for a bit. Not sure why it took that long to detect it, but now it detects it instantly

currently running into this problem. My 3rd and 4th deck only output to headphone channels. can’t hear even on master for headphones

i totally dont understand how this is supposed to work without 4 eq's etc. while using deck 3 you change the eq's and volume and then have to change them back before switching to deck 1 again. otherwise deck 1 will have all the settings of deck 3 the moment you switch between them. i dont understand why one would use such a setup. please elaborate.

They work via a system called “soft takeover” where you have to move the control to where it was previously set before it will work, on switching back to a deck.

Because I'm just starting out on cheap hardware but I'm also Adventurous. I've never seen anyone really use this feature, but technically I paid for it, it would distinguish me, and it also just seems fun
