*Bought for my son. We have had one for years, works great. Can cook indirect and smoke meat. Done chicken, ribs, turkey, and the regular **MyBest.Kitchen** hot dogs and sausages. Excellent grill*

One other important element in controlling heat is the amount of lit charcoal used.

I have an issue with never getting enough heat, even with all the vents open,(i have a large grill with 4 vents) i spent 4 hour waiting for my grill to get hot and ended up cooking in the ove.

What if you don't have air flow seems like it may be best to use a small fan to blow through the bottom of the vents that would create air flow to keep the charcoal or lump cold burning hot otherwise the fire is going to burn out because there's no air flow

Hi! I wish Michael Simon would have also explained the use of the low slide holes on a hibachi charcoal grill, or an open top charcoal grill. I've opened them up while grilling; just wasn't sure what all was happening to the coals. I guess they were getting hotter. Thank you for the video. It was very informative. I miss The Chew, and my daily dose of Michael Simon's laughter. ☺️ ✌️ 🖖 😷

What about in cold weather will the cold air from the bottom fight the heat inside?

With all of your subscribers, I hope you still answer questions... You say these vents are just like an oven. Ah, yuh. What? What difference is there between the top vents & the bottom? I thought having oxygen come in through the bottom would do more than the top. Can you please explain the differences ~
