Hey, just started using Studio One, was wondering if its possible to launch machine as a VST, and use the sampler within maschine to record audio from youtube, chop it up, and lay it out across the pads as one naturally does when using maschine as a stand alone. For some reason I dont get any sound feeding into the sampler when launched as a vst in studio one. I just prefer the slice method from maschine.

I see you have Maschine Jam beside it. Did you manage to use it with Studio ONe? Do you have any script?

mikelo303 there’s no script for studio one that I know of. I don’t think it’s allowed. But just like any other midi device, I can use it as a keyboard or drum pad but the transport features won’t work

Is this similar to using the Maschine plug in mode? I’m using it in S1 5.2 in Plug in mode...If I’m working only on Maschine I use standalone then re open the work in the plug in, which is synced

Maschine is in this session as a plugin but with this trick, you can control Studio One without switch back and forth between plugin mode and midi mode. Before it was either or.

by mistake I learned if you load Maschine as a instrument it will control the start and go in Studio One 4! Tell me what you think?

Intensity7x Harris it works sometimes for me but I’ve done so much midi routing and linking things to the point of not knowing what would trigger it. The Atom pad is just designed to connect at all times.

Calvin Carter what do you mean? Just to make the Maschine control the DAW? It’s just midi messages sent each time you hit a button as you would using a regular midi keyboard. CPU isn’t a factor here.

KsndDEF I got home and did what you said. It does work as a Daw control but when I tried to use maschine as a plug in I had to switch back out of makie mode
