I really appreciate that! The are a lot of local whiskey enthusiasts who knew me before my channel that hate me now. When asked why they just say "I just don't like him". It is nice to have this type of encouragement.

Doors will try to expand back to flat, Highly recommend reinforcing back side of door. even a screw in every stave won't stop it. Great tutorial

Great show Wish would have seen before I got and stained my barrel Guess I will have to buy another one
@BourbonRealTalk3 жыл бұрын
No need for a new barrel. You are half way there. Just pick up after staining and do the rest of the steps.

FINALLY!! Someone who LOVES whiskey will teach us how to cut a barrel and make it into a beautiful piece of art. BTW, which sample small bottles would you recommend to fit your awesome sample box? Thanks 🙏🏼
@BourbonRealTalk3 жыл бұрын
1 ounce Boston rounds with a polycone cap are best. The 1/2 oz fit too.

What size tapping screws is recommended for securing the staves?
@BourbonRealTalk Жыл бұрын
3/4". The stave plus hoop is almost exactly 1", so if you did one inch or more you might penetrate inside the barrel.

Man I kick myself at least once a week that I didn’t get a bottle of that SSW cab finish redwood empire when I had the chance.

I kick myself when I think about only buying one. Times were different back then. If it came out today I would buy 6 :-)

I don't write summaries of videos for people who read titles but won't watch the video. I would recommend you read video descriptions and decide if the video is worth your time.

Your ashamed that 97% of your subscribers are male? Count me out
@BourbonRealTalk3 жыл бұрын
If you have watched much of my content you would know my podcast is about connecting people. ALL PEOPLE. What I tried to say in the piece is statistics show that at least 20% of whiskey is drank by women, so it stands to reason that at least 20% of whiskey content consumers would be women. Since I am trying to educate the public that whiskey is for everyone and not just old white men I am ashamed that I have not attracted more female viewers. Not sure what about that inclusive sentiment would cause you to tell me to count you out, but If you disagree that women and other minorities should feel comfortable in the whiskey space then I will count you out...because you would not be welcome on my channel.

@@BourbonRealTalk What I'm hearing you say in this response is: "I'm ashamed I haven't been able to reach a broader/more diverse audience that is better representative of the whiskey community as a whole." The way it came out made it sound like it was a bad thing to be in that 97% demographic of your audience. Am I understanding your sentiment correctly?

Anyway keep being awesome and making great content.
