What about if the table in the new PDF moved to let say another page? How to update those setting please?
@ExcelUpNorth3 ай бұрын
Interesting question! Assuming that the name of the table remains the same then it can exist on any page and this method will work just fine. If the name ends up changing however, then that’s a different story!

Thanks ur videos are such I huge help, follow up question how do you fix a pdf in power query when it has multi source problems? Like the data fields are the same but the format when extracted to power query between the two tables becomes different?

I’m really glad that you found the video helpful! As far as your question goes, if the tables share the same column header names then everything should work just fine. Could you describe what the other format differences are?

For some reason, in the MacOS, the Excel Microsoft 365 for Mac does not have support for PDF???
@ExcelUpNorth10 ай бұрын
Unfortunately the feature isn't available in the MacOS version. Hopefully one day it gets included!

Hi, your video and explanation is excellent. I have to regularly convert bank statements from pdf to excel and I am using free conversion online applications. But some of the statements, even when converted with online help, require a lot of cleaning which takes hours to clean. I am using excel 2019. Is there any way I could convert pdf to excel in my system itself.?

Thank you for leaving a comment! Cleaning up data can be very time consuming and PowerQuery is a great tool to help with that. This video was created using the Office 365 version of Excel. Does Excel 2019 have the same options to choose from (Data > Get Data > From File > From PDF)?
@rajeshshah6758 Жыл бұрын
@@ExcelUpNorth it does have other options except pdf

That’s too bad that it isn’t included in your version of Excel. Maybe it will become available through more updates. If you’re able to upgrade to Office 365 that would be the most ideal situation.
