Outstanding video... outstanding...many many thanks! I would like to ask if you noticed lower display brightness with the parts used. There have been others using a similar board that noticed a difference in the display's brightness when comparing with original iMac.
I wanted to do the same because of the great display my 27" mid 2010 has, but unfortunately after the grfx card broke down twice, i had no option but to turn it to a display!
imac 2008 early 20インチ、imac 2009 early 20インチ、iMac 2009 late 27インチ 3機種持っていますが、できますか? おねがいします🙇♀️

Hi, im having an issue, maybe u can help... when starting my mid2010 iMac, i can hear the chime and then iMac restarts. Chime is heard again and then iMac restarts. This situation repeats over and over, it cant boot normally neither with the option button pressed! Any idea why?

Sounds like a corrupted OS issue, have you tried reinstalling the OS?

@@rooprai7 Hi, thanks for the reply but what makes you think its a corrupted OS issue? I think that if it was such an issue, it could at least bring up the boot menu since i press option at startup.

@@giorgos7six oh sorry I didn’t read your comment properly. I assumed it was a kernel panic from OS. The only other thing I can think is maybe it’s hardware related. Did your machines show symptoms of restarting before? My 2011 does the same thing but I can actually boot up the OS. The wifi stops working and soon after reboots. I think I have a faulty wifi/bluetooth card and the GPU is failing too.

@@giorgos7six those GPUs from 2010-2011 are a pain, I haven’t put any more money into fixing my iMac is just not worth, I now use it as a photo backup machine, I’m glad you found out the issue.
Well done, thank you for this amazing video! You convinced me that it is possible to turn my old iMac into an LCD monitor, while preserving its appearance :) I would also like to start this conversion, but I would like to know what type of cords (calibers) you use to connect the speakers to the main base? And to connect the on/off button of the iMac to the control base? I am lost with the different calibers available on the market (20awg, 26awg…?), does it matter? Thank you for your work !
