Which one of the ISO you created was Bootable? you did not show/test if the created iso file was bootable? you could have used a VM to test.

I had to do something similar. I lost my original Windows 11 21h2 iso , all I had to recover the setup was usb drive with the install and I converted the usb folder back to the iso . Its a shame 21h2 will go out of update servicing soon. I like that version , the iso wasn't locked down , easily debloatable , and ran smoother .

Interesting, but painfully detailed. And how about Linux users, as not everyone uses Windows now?

Used the AnyBurn option to create the ISO. Tried to then install in Hyper-V but the ISO was not bootable. Sorry to say this, but this guide is useless.

I'm gonna go ahead and take an educated guess that you failed to create a bootable, UEFI compatible ISO in both scenarios. AnyBurn didn't even prompt you for a boot image, and IMGBurn does not do EFI either, regardless whether you pointed it at a correct etfsboot file or not. This is NOT THE RIGHT solution!

Yeah to be honest I'm not sure if it will boot on UEFI systems, I didn't test it.

@@memstechtips Just looking at the steps you did makes me doubt it will. No offense but before you make a video about it, confirm it does what it should. UEFI is a thing at least since 2016. No system should be installed any other way in 2024.
