How to Convert Composite Video to HDMI

Thank you for your video, so well explained. I am getting a new TV and wanting to hook up my older Panasonic DVD combo player. I'll just say that the sales rep at the place where I bought the TV was impatient with any questions on how to do this, am looking forward to setting it up per your video, very helpful.

Can a Sony analog Camcorder work the same way as what you have just demonstrated on the DVD player? I have a Sony Camcorder from the mid 90s and would like to view those old memories through HDMI on my Samsung Screen.

Hi did you try a commercially recorded DVD, interested to see how it would appear with a better resolution recording to start with. I was going to buy a component to HDMI converter but in the composite works ok i'll buy that instead, this is for an Australian PAL system but i can change the source video to NTSC 720P if i use component cables with matching converter.

Hello I’m hoping that you can help with a question and I’m having with an older Dynex TV it does have a HDMI port area and I’m trying to hook up a Roku device to use it. However the insert area for plugging in the Roku HDMI and it’s not large enough to accept it. So I purchased an HDMI to AV connector which says that it’s used for fire stick or Roku devices. It came with a USB port and a three prong collar coated connectors to go into the component AV area and the colors I have a red white and yellow on the converter but on the television I have it as red white another red which shows as PR and then a Y which says video so I’m using the Y thinking it might mean yellow and it’s also says for video. But I’m only receiving a message saying that there’s no signal. I have the USB plugged into the service port and then into the back of the HDMI to AV converter but I still cannot seem to get a connection to Roku. Can you please advise further. Thank you

I have a receiver that does not have HDMI which I have been using with no problem UNTIL I got a different cable co and the set top box ONLY has HDMI. can I use a converter from the set top box to the receiver? Also, I might mention I am using a set top box, TV, receiver and a DVD player

The short answer, yes you can. The better answer perhaps, ask your TV company to swap your box out with a box having the outputs you need. Often they stock such.

Thank you for showing me how to use it correctly I appreciate that unlike most of the videos that other people post. They don't explain it very good like you do thank you so much it works for me I wash your video step by step you help me so much a great deal I appreciate it all I do is watch DVD I don't like real TV neither do I like the news it's just bad influence and political stuff and Democrats of stuff. Question for you - was the source video 4:3 aspect ratio? If so, did it pass thru in the same format, or was it stretched to 16:9? Thanks.

I bought the ACR to hdmi converter and now it says connect antenna or cable and press enter on the Tv, I don’t understand 😭😭😭

Hi! Can I just use my hdmi as video output, like just plugging the yellow? And separate the red and white to an external speakers?

That's not a composite though... That's an RCA.
