Good video, I would also suggest to go with non beaded Ralson tyres that are available for around 300/- per tyre. They are excellent , cheap and have acceptable rolling. But you can't have the same speed as in hybrid due to tyre size and drive train ratio. Kindly think of cost effectiveness, maybe you can buy another cycle.

Very informative video. I had Hummer MTB original purchased from General Motors Dealer. One more disadvantage of using MTB on the road what I felt is the rider will get knee pain due to the same reason Vishnu said, the power getting transferred to shock absorber plus the gear ratio. hence I replaced it with Java Siluro 3 road bike

The trouble is if the conversion doesn't go as planned then you will need to keep pouring more and more money into the project, which just wouldn't make sense.. If i were to ever switch to a Hybrid I am pretty sure I would sell my MTB and would just get a hybrid.. That said, I have been riding MTBs for many years now and I honestly love riding them so much more than any other kind of cycle because of the terrain I ride cycles on.. I don't ride in the cities much because of how terrible us Malaylis are on road.. we don't follow rules, we don't even care about other people on the road.. so I am honestly afraid of riding on our roads.. i try to ride off-road as much as possible.. I wish we had proper MTB trails or parks in Kerala, just like they have these football turfs these days.. So my MTB exploits have been restricted to XC riding and not true MTB riding..
