It really helps if you get soldering flux gel in a syringe and apply that to the joints and the de-solder . Also afterwards use electro solder tin with flux core to re-flow the joints with extra tin. The joints have to be shiny and full of tin. I was a PCB repair tech before. Still a good DIY job. :)

@@GarageBuiltHondas hi mate, i want to convert my 1990 JDM DPFI to MPFI after watching your video for that.😀. Many thanks for that video. I found PM6 ECU for the conversion but its an automatic ECU. Can i covert it to manual by this method?? Does being OBD0 or OBD1 matter?? Thanks

Garage Built Hondas haha sweet! So I did comment on replacing my wife’s timing belt with the Blue gates racing belt ... so far so good. This was my first Honda timing belt job I had a hard time getting the crank pulley off and ended up melting the lower timing cover with my torch. In the end I propped up a long extension on a floor jack and used my jack handle and fat brother to break it loose. There is an impact socket for this job that is super thick I’m curious about might buy the next go around. Also had a hard time getting the timing belt tension set right with the factory procedure and ended up pushing up on the tensioner with a screw driver. I never found a video on KZbin that was thorough in setting the belt tension or showing how much slack was in the belt after setting the tension. If your schedule allows please put up a clip of this part. And of course also put up and vids you can of work on your CRV

Hi bro. I'm doing the auto to manual tranny on my 1994 Acura Integra LS. Just to clear my doubts, as far as I know (I'm new to Honda/Acura vehicles), the Integra is based on Civic platform, so I deduct both cars uses the same ECU, right? D4 and D3 light bulbs are dead. I'm removing the rest of the bulbs off the dashboard cluster too.

What exactly do those 2 resistors do? Shift the automatic transmission electronically? What would happen if a person removes both resistors and does not add the jumper? Just asking and curious to know. Thanks much n have a great day.
@GarageBuiltHondas
@GarageBuiltHondas 4 жыл бұрын
Those are some damn good questions, and ones that I have no idea. Considering what resistors do, I'd suggest you're probably right in the fact that it has something to do with the signals it sends/receives regarding the automatic shifting of the transmission.

Curious if the auto solenoid code (19) would cause a solid check engine light? Not just a code I mean that when you turn the key to accessory the light stays lit, I’m gonna do the auto to manual conversion anyway but I got the ecu with a swap and don’t know the whole history, the car runs and drives decent at full throttle but rough at part throttle, jerks and bucks, ran the code and I have (14 and 19) ecu/iacv and the solenoids being an auto ecu, if I have too I can put in a chip and 28 pin connector but I’m just wondering if anyone has any knowledge about it, thanks for the content, makes it much easier having someone show you versus just trying to read a diagram or picture alone

I did an auto to manual swap on the prelude 97 base. Did the ECU conversion on the p5m as well. Question..... I have both modified p5m, as well as a chipped p28 h22 basemap. With the p5m, there's a weird rpm hang/rise before it drops down in between shifts. It messes up my shifting because I have to delay pressing the gas..... With the chipped p28 (my car is stock no IAB modifications) the rpm drops like its supposed to, and I can press the gas earlier. Is this normal. Or is there damage to the p5m? Could it be related to the IAB that the p5m uses but the p28 does not? Fyi, the p5m rpm hang has been present in two different motors. My failing h22a4, and now my recently swapped h23a vtec, converted OBD2 from the h22a4.

Awesome information, what I'd like to know is how to have the CEL to stay off after removing the EGR system on my '90 Integra which is obd-0 original motor, transmission, and ECU, apparently the manual version of this car doesn't even have an EGR system using the exact same b18a1 motor, I've read it can be done however can't find how... Most people with these classic Integra's have either completely converted to obd-1, have a manual conversion, or leave them completely stock. Everything is long gone, including the black box on the firewall with all the vacuum lines, and the EGR port has a delete plate over it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The only way i would think of is just chipping your ecu and bypassing your egr ecu code or the other way would be swaping your pr4 ecu with a pm6 ecu jon explained on one of his videos that both ecus work fine with b18 nonvtec motors the pm6 is not programmed for egr
