UPDATE* the reason my new mp3 converter didn't work is b/c my USB stick was too large capacity. The mp3 converter actually works. Here's the link: amzn.to/2DyQnX5 [Amazon affiliate links]. Another option if you already have an old tape player is this neat device: amzn.to/3iwZnKU (works on PC and MAC). Zoom H4N Pro Recorder: amzn.to/31Gvbq6 (this is the updated version of my recorder used in Method 3). Excellent all around recorder. Especially for musicians, videographers, and bloggers serious about sound quality. AUX cable: amzn.to/342tV3t (I actually use this one and it's great all around). Splitter cable for Method 3: amzn.to/3gQ32TB

I have the same converter. What size does the USB need to be in order for the record option to work?
@paulgiltner52244 жыл бұрын
In your first option with that specific player you got from eBay, what do you do when you get to the end of side 1? I would like a player that automatically switches to side 2 and keeps recording. That way I can set it and not have to wait around for the first side to end.

I believe that player automatically switches to the other side.

Would you please give the correct size of your usb stick because I’m having trouble. I bought a new converter that looks just like yours and I think I have the same problem that you had but I don’t know what capacity to buy

I bought one but when i use cassette player and press play botton it makes a very loud noise!! (With cassette or without cassette) Is there a problem with the device or is it normal?.. because I want to convert some tapes to mp3

I just bought that converter to mp3. That flash stick solution is the best. The converter also has auto reverse. Got it for $25.

Is there a device that converts the cassette to mp3 quickly without recording, I mean like copying paste like this quickly or all the devices depend on the recording process
@wolfetteplays88942 жыл бұрын
No, you can’t just snap your fingers and convert an analogue medium into a digital one. It produces sounds through the physical tape head, so it’s physically impossible to transfer that data to computer, in any way other than recording the music on the tape.

I will let you know never covert to mp3 is the worst quality, converte it to flac or wav ??
@432HzMusicTV4 жыл бұрын
true, however flac or wav take up like 10 times more space and not all devices can play them.. also mp3 quality depends on bit rate so 320 bits is not such a bad quality, but befow that it gets worse.. TBH

@@432HzMusicTV .wav is more universally supported than MP3, and has been around far longer than the MP3 format, so devices not being able to support .wav files isn’t much of an issue. I mean, if the 3DO can play it, most modern media players can

I would like a tutorial video where you could show me step by step. I don't think I have questions until I ruin a tape. And even then I'm pretty confused. Can you please do this for me and play the tape that is recorded so I can hear the quality inn case it changes? Thank you so much for your consideration.
@432HzMusicTV4 жыл бұрын
aloha ronnette, I think best and most simple solution would be to get one of those tape to USB converters. it's quite easy and they come with instructions. just don't put in a USB stick over 16GB or it won't work. mine was 32Gb and that was the reason it didn't work in my case.
