I know I am at the wrong place, but I'm too old and tired, and pissed of bc my slow phone. My vlc, or I accidentally changed a movie in my library to an audio file. Now I cannot see the movie, I can just hear the track... This happens quite often to me, I found out, and this worked for the most files: Iong push at the icon changes some of them back, but this is something different.

So, I started with an OBS Audio Capture, that made an mkv file. I tried to convert it to mp3 but it end up choppy and 3x's as long. I even tried to coverty it from mkv>MP4>MP3 and I still had the same results. I'm not sure why this is happening for me. Any advice?

It worked but it got stuck in a loop (it only created one final copy) I think the first save is the container (data) and the convert is the actual file if they are named the same it may not take to the process. Just FYI ;-)

I keep getting "The output file already exists. If recording continues, the file will be overridden and it's content will be lost." and I'm given a selection between "Overwrite" and "Keep existing file". No matter which selection I choose, or if I close the error message, it keeps throwing it back up over and over and I have to close it and VLC very quickly, and I get a corrupted file out of it. Update: If you're getting this error message, look at the buttons at the bottom of the player to the left of the Play button. Make sure the 2nd to last button that says "Click to toggle between loop etc" is turned off.
