Thank u buddy. I converted my 4.6 savage to electric. An the truck ran find. Until i let my nepthew. Play with it an . he gave it full throttle. An mess transmission up. So i pull it down. An found what i believe first gear was shredded. I couldn't believe they put plastic gears with. Harden gears. So i replaced with harden gears. An i wanted reverse. So i found your video. Thanks again. Ill be putting it back in an testing

@bisesik I have the mamba monster max 2200kv. I'm using the stock flux mounts, got them bored out a few thou of an inch and they fit perfect.

Some people are confused, this is not for your nitro savage this is for guys seeking to build a Flux using a Nitro Trans.. The nitro trans doesn't have direct drive which will mean that if used with an electric motor will not have reverse or brakes. Using this simple idle gear you convert a Nitro Trans to a Flux Trans.. NOT TO BE USED WITH A NITRO ENGINE!! The gearing is different.

@LiveFreeOrRIP I haven't ran the truck yet. and no need for reverse with a bash truck IMO. You have the older tranny that opens vertical .

@rcdriver26 No probelem, if you need any other tutorials for the savage x or savage flux just Pm me and ill see what i can do. and yes i always shoot the c slips across my shop when taking them off. I use my tuning screw driver to pop them off and there like bullets LOL

@MrPerTore no. not unless you get into racing and you want the instant speed. But for bashing i wouldn't recommend it. If anything upgrade to a 3 speed.

@burtonkidd Looking for a setup similar to an older Savage Flux XS, I have an old x4.6 from about 9 years ago I was tempted to switch to single gear and drop in a 3670 size motor with the new Integy mount that's about these days. Not looking for all out speed but something equivalent to the old nitro setup. Any ideas?

@burtonkidd What motor do you have in the Savage. I have a Mamba monster 2650kv and I can't find a motor mount to fit, they're all too small. Even the flux conversion kit....

i just left my 2 speed in there its much better for me when i want to go slow to climb rocks and big snow hills then when i want speed, gun it and thing flies at like 40mph

@30GB I don't like going slow, i don't rock climb and i don't drive my rc's in the winter. and ill be running 5s & 6s, so there will be more power then 4s.

Hi friends, this can done on savage x trans? And savage 25 too? I dont undestand very good. This mod its good for nitro motor to have less sttess on gear? Also is good to convert electric? This way there brake and reverse? Or need to mod with center diff?

This is only for electric conversion from nitro transmission.

Will not work for three speed. I just completed this conversion for Savage XL Brushless conversion. Still trying to figure out a solution. Great Write up tho!

I don't recommend doing this, today I tested my savage and my 4.6 was screaming in ist gear and it was kinda slow. It did wheelie like crazy and that was fun but after a few pulls my engine overheated and if had to shut if off. I ended up putting the 2 speed back in and all is well now, eh I kinda miss shifting into 2nd gear

This is if you are converting your truck to electric powered - instead of buying a whole Flux HP transmission you just do this for less than $10.

Won't have a clutch bell on the brushless motor. You'll have a pinion

You wouldn't benefit from it being in a nitro unless you were short track racing. Nitro needs the gear change to get top end as where brushless is just all power and doesn't need gears
