This is an amazing bangladeshi - Sylheti fried fish recipe. This is a must try for you as it is really simple and packed full of flavour.
4 POMFRET FISH / ROOPCHANDA FISH
FISH SPICE MARINADE:
1 HEAPED TSP CORIANDER POWDER
1 & 1/2 TSP CURRY POWDER (EAST END BRAND)
2 TSP CHILLI POWDER
1 & 1/2 TSP TURMERIC POWDER
1 & 1/2 TSP SALT
3 TBS OIL
SHALLOW FRY WITH 5 TBS OIL.
COOK THE FISH 12/15 DEPENDS ON SIZE, MUST TURN EVERY FEW MINUTES.
FRIED ONION:
2 SLICED ONION
3 GREEN CHILLI
1 HANDFUL OF FRESH CORIANDER
PINCH OF SALT
SOAK 2 GENERAL MUGS OF GLUTINOUS RICE OVER NIGHT OR AT LEAST 3-6 HOURS
STEAM THE RICE FOR 25/30 MINUTES UNTIL IT FEELS SOFT WHEN YOU PRESS ON IT.
