What i'd recommend (since this is just congi) is to put crispy chili oil on top, 1 or 2 soft-boiled or medium-boiled eggs, a protein of your choice such as pork belly, pork tenderloin. Scallions, maybe some crispy garlic as well and you've got the perfect breakfast!

Probably something with a bit more intense flavour so the sauce could dissipate into the porridge. Though really its just preference, this porridge would taste like the rice itself maybe a bit sweet.
