That was Christmas prime rib done excellenta. Just perfect for me. Some like a little more rare but that's ok. Love all the little extra props e.g. grill tree ornament, tools hanging in tree, snow on grill, Christmas tree on set, dark back ground, champagne toast. All of that shows creativity going on in that Baumerizing Brain. Love that about your videos. In spite of freezing temps you produced a great video. Enjoyed

Im confused about the reverse sear. Isn't it normally done at the beginning? I may have missed the explanation. Please advise. Thanks and merry Christmas!!
@BaumGrillinzBBQ5 жыл бұрын
Reverse searing is just another method. I find that it works very well and produces a more even cook while keeping the meat nice and juicy! Definitely give it a try and see for yourself! You might be surprised! 😊

Looks great I am doing one one Christmas. How many hours total did it take? Merry Christmas!
@BaumGrillinzBBQ6 жыл бұрын
Excellent! You are going to enjoy it! I don’t remember exactly how long.. it was really cold outside while I was doing it so it extended the cooking time. The best way to know it’s done is when the internal temp is at your desired doneness. (120- rare, 130- medium rare, 140- medium) make sure you plan accordingly! Especially if it’s cold outside! Thank you for watching!

Do you let it rest a half hour befor the sear? Does it have to rest again after it is seared or do you carve it right after the sear?
@BaumGrillinzBBQ6 жыл бұрын
Jake Balde we let it rest covered for 10 minutes, or however long it takes you to get the grill up to searing temperature. Once you sear the prime rib it is ready to be carved and enjoyed!

@jaimetakikawa59496 жыл бұрын
So how many hours did it actually take?
@gordongary39034 жыл бұрын
Looks really good but I have 2 questions. 1. Is your sound captured by the camera only, I’m thinking there’s a Zoom recorder in there some where but can’t see one. 2. You don’t say what temps your grill is at. Is the bottom wide open and temp controlled by the dome vent.
@BaumGrillinzBBQ4 жыл бұрын
Sound was captured by camera with a Rode mic. Wow you are right I didn’t mention grill temp! The temperature would of been around 275-300 degrees. Always cook to the meat to temperature so times may vary. It was cold that night so it was a little more difficult to maintain temps, so I’m not sure as to where my bottom vent was. Just play with it and try to maintain that 275-300 temp 👍👍 Enjoy!

Love how this his guy didn't explain anything except how to make his "crust." What a waste of time. Ahhh, how long did it take, what temp we're u shooting for in the kettle, was the reverse sear over the coals, what did I waste my time for.
@BaumGrillinzBBQ6 жыл бұрын
Pretty sure I showed the kettle temp and internal temp of the meat.. the time it takes varies on a lot of things so I didn’t think that would benefit anyone, internal temperature is more important. Revere sear was not over coals but could be as long as you have bone in and down. Sorry for wasting your time.... but hope your prime rib turns out well! Thanks for watching Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!🎄🎁
@DaHamburglarGT5 жыл бұрын
@@BaumGrillinzBBQ it came out looking more medium than med rare. Would you pull it at a lower temp before searing next time?
@BaumGrillinzBBQ5 жыл бұрын
Possibly. It did turn out the way I wanted it. Sometimes getting the video color to look accurate is a bit hard with lighting and all. But I think it turned out great! Keep in mind every cut of meat is a little different (fat content etc.) use your best judgement!
