Thanks for this and all the other deer hunting videos Dr. Norberg! I wish my son enjoyed deer hunting with me like your sons do but unfortunately he doesn’t. Please continue producing the fantastic videos! Lots of guys appreciate the wisdom that you teach much more so than you might realize.

Correct... deer heart is very fork tender if you cook it right. If you over cook heart it turns tough. Never heard of putting tenderizer on deer heart... lmao. Just buttet and garlic for me

I shot a real beauty this year thanks to you and you alone. I am loving your hunting techniques and they work perfectly. We never knew there were so many big bucks out there. We also eat the heart after every harvest. We eat it the day of the harvest. It is like a tradition for me and anybody who hunts with me.

Very tasty! I do something similar but add Old Bay seasoning instead of that kitchen bouquet. I’ll have to try the bouquet. Please keep making your videos! They are so informative.

I've never ate any of the organs before but that looked pretty good! I'll have to give it a try the next time I harvest a deer that has a fully intact heart
@mjuberian4 жыл бұрын
Its not an organ its a muscle
@HomeGrownPyro14 жыл бұрын
@@mjuberian The heart muscle is a organ. Well technically a muscular organ...but I get what your saying.

Cutting it on an angle is better, I use the whole heart and just trim the valve pieces off. A little salt in the pan and it is really tender for us, doing that way.

What to do if you make a heart shot. Can any of the organ be salvaged?

What about the liver ?
@wendellworth3535 жыл бұрын
Damn! I have seen numerous videos on cooking deer heart. Most every one of them add so many extra ingredients that the true taste of the meat is masked. You can't tell what kind of meat you are eating. This is just another. He could have thrown a Gainsburger in there and it would taste the same. You only need a fry pan, butter, and the heart. Cook on both sides til the middle is rare, and serve. If I cooked at that camp, the other inhabitants would throw stones at the old man.

Heart is something I would call Tough. I trim all the fat off deer fat has a horrible taste. Salt pepper flower and fry on medium high heat. 😋
