I do not care who you are I decide how I want my meat cooked. I have retuned it in many restaurants because I like mine Well Done. However I do ensure it is a Thin steak as I understand that a Thick one Well Done would be very chewy. It is nothing to do with Blood as I eat Black Pudding, Faggots, Heart, Kidneys, Liver and White Pudding. When a Chef came out and tried to tell me I got up and left after telling him if decided how it was going to be cooked he could eat it and that I was the customer so technically he worked for me?

TurkishKB, I dealt with that with my son (ex-wife playing games). Marriage fell apart when he was 2.5 and she played games (not letting me see him) until he was almost 5 (between 4.5 and 5). At the point she finally started letting me see him again, I ended up with temporary custody for 6 months due to her snorting coke. My attorney screwed me, he asked what I wanted when we went to juvenile services. Of course I said I wanted custody. Her attorney and mine, goes into the room and wasn't in there longer than 5 minutes and they come back out and he informed me that I had to return my son to her by 6 PM. But they gave me the weekend warrior dad duties. That lasted for a few years until she starts the games again, but after finally getting in front of a judge. That's when she changed her tactics and started brainwashing him. When he was 7 I called to tell him happy birthday and merry Christmas. Phone call lasted maybe a minute and a half and he says "I don't want anything to do with you, you ARE A PIECE OF SHIT", then hangs up on me. December 9th he will be 16 and I haven't seen him in years and have no idea who my son is. NEVER GIVE UP THE FIGHT, as I know how that feels! It haunts me that his step dad, he considers his dad and actually calls dad. But I am nobody to him and actually I am counting the days until he is 18. So I can get him the bank account I set up for him and letters I wrote him to him and I am able to close that chapter of my life! That is why you should NEVER give up the fight! I hope that me telling you all that helps, because it was VERY PAINFUL!!!

I know atleast 3 close buddies of mine who have gone through what you have. 2 of them never saw their kid after they were 2 years old. All of them have missed their kids growing up to 10. And that's the time period to really bond with your kid. Like the kid get used to the fact they have a dad. All of 'em missed it. Now I can't say those kids have easy time to be with their dads, but you can see there is no respect among those ki da for their fathers. It's like they are meeting a 3rd person. It's really brutal and kills you inside that your own flesh and blood does not see you as a parent. They know you are the father, but they don't know how much it pleases you to be around them. But since the society and the law thinks Men are tough so they can accept the reality that mom is better for their child. Like how do they even come up with a judgement like that. What have them the right. When you are working you are thinking about your kid, when you are eating you think if your kid has eaten yet, you find yourself time to relax and have some fun but you thinks what your kid is upto now, is he doing ok at school, does he need my help. Except you are not there to do all that and it's painful. No Father deserves this punishment and I really feel the law should take note of this seriously and change its view about mother's rights only. I don't have a child of my own yet, but I'm very serious about such things and I want to be prepared. But reading your problem, I can only say this, my 3 friends are doing okay and living day by day. I can't say if they are happy but they are doing things with what they have. They haven't given up hope and they know they haven't done anything wrong so they are still holding their ground. Sacrifice is a symbol of Love. I dunno why Elton John sang to it, but if it means that you made it with hope that things would turn out great and happy for your kid, then it's a great one. You have done your part. You did a great job by creating a life. If it is nurturing well enough it's good. Now create another one if you have to. Don't stop your life for nothing and move on and start another family. Maybe this time you will not feel the same way you did many years ago. We grow up every second and that's what we need. Growing up more and doing more greater things. I just hope this helps because that's what I am gonna do if things turn out just like my friends. Cheers.

MIKE Wakefield I have also suffered major/ severe depression was put on meds in 2003, some of the construction customers I served back then said that I needed to get off the meds and keep busy with anything I could. I haven't been on anti depressants since 2004 and I feel way better now than I did back then. The wooded beardsman is also helping by telling people to do things they love to do even if it's not wilderness living. Doing something will help you to help fight depression and you start to feel way better. Depression will not go away but by doing things to keep yourself busy it not only makes you feel better but also helps to fight the times when depression hits you hardest. Take time to let the depression come and go, dont focus on the depression, but take some personal time. Then continue on with what you love to do and you'll find that your depressive states will start to be less often and less difficult to work through it. .all the best

I have found myself yearning for more and wanting to provide better. I feel most of what you have Explained about not being Full time at home. It is the hardest thing I’ve done(doing). Your a inspiration to get out and do more for my own mental state. I feel when my hormones spike and it’s the hardest thing to be able to control when the enormty of the frustration kicks in. Much love and apprecation for sharing to make me feel normal and like I’m not a poor father. Keep it up.... please... if only for men like us that Are misunderstood and somewhte confused. Best advice to my former self is to run off whenever given the chance to recharge. I found that I was not very motivated to do it, just wanting the rest, but I really should have kept my life up in the meantime. Things get much easier as they age. I would do it so much differently next time.

Thanks Chris. That was a great unabashedly masculine perspective on mens mental health. As a mid 30's man myself, i have noticed a slow down since my 20's. When you do masculine things less, your body and brain respond. Get outside, build something, take on a project. You will feel better. You dont always have to pour your feelings out. You can fix you sometimes. Thanks again Chris

The problem for the 1% is that it's not healthy, it just doesn't work how they think is SHOULD. You can't force a square into a circle without changing the shape. The experiment, you can tell, is nearly through, thankfully. Now to prevent going the complete opposite direction as this is as bad as the other.

@@TheWoodedBeardsman agreed. Instead of the 1% dealing with their struggles and repairing the problems, they force it on everyone and say you better conform to my problem and if you dont you're in the wrong. I don't share my personal struggles with most people, I look for a way to fix them. It's worked many times, and I face less struggles today because of it. Self healing should be taught rather than a changing of norms that our grandfathers who did quite well with what they had would be rolling in their graves over. Anyhow, great chatting, keep up the great vids. Glad I found your channel.

Society expects us to fix it's problems. It's not good or bad, just is. I think accepting that is part of how we know where we fit in. Hard to fix other things when we're broken, but that's just step 1, sometimes when we skip that step, we actually fix it. Something to ponder. If it doesn't work out, at least our sacrifice was worth it and carries on through our children, community.

I witnessed another man jump off a bridge.. And I was able to talk my sister out of it (thank God!).. Life's too fragile to take for granted. I just had a talk with a friend about an issue he dealt with and had no idea that it was a similar struggle I've had. We need to open up to other men more. No man's an island. We all deal with the same exact issues. Just knowing that you are not the only one with an issue can save your mental health. Sometimes life gets too heavy, that's when you need to realize that you aren't meant to carry the load on your own. Even a stranger can lighten it a little for you.

You really hit the nail on the head with this video, and I'm glad you put this out. I've struggled with depression since I was very young (which has manifested itself through physical illness, a lack of facial hair, etc), and it's only been fairly recently that I've discovered the reasons behind it, and began to turn my life around. My lack of being pushed to grow, learn and really *do* anything besides go to college, alongside being distracted by all the wrong things led to me being far too sedentary, comfortable, and rather useless. My diet was also about as bad as it could be. Once I started building an interest in things like survivalism, blacksmithing, and the past cultures of Nordic and Celtic peoples (along with my heritage), something within me just started to click. The more knowledge I gained, and the more I got outside and *did* things, the better I felt. The more I strengthen my body, the more I expose myself to harsh conditions, and the more I create, the more in tune I feel to whom I feel I should be. And my god, the difference it makes... I didn't really realize how bad things truly were until I stepped outside of it, and discovered how fulfilling life can be. Your videos, as well as other sources of inspiration and knowledge (like Jordan Peterson and Wim Hof for instance), have helped me grow as a man, for which I'm very grateful. SLAY YOUR DRAGONS, PEOPLE! (And then eat them.)

I remember when talking about my darkness with family and professional therapists, and it amplified my pain. Then everytime I'm around them I felt self-conscious about it which added fuel to the anxious fire. It was good to get my feelings out but with mental illness comes over analization which further put me down, and encouraged my desired isolation. Do what you feel you should but in my case I felt like over coming and self knowledge was more easily found with time and recovery by myself. Doing activities to fill holes in your life help as long as they dont become emotional burdens (in your mind) adding to your disorder. Love.

Something I probably shouldn’t be having at 14 soon 15, so hopefully tomorrow I’ll find the motivation to go have a walk in the bush out the back of my house! In hopes it’ll fix it. Man, I think you're right on all points. In my experience, talking never helps. Every time I tried to talk to someone about something I was struggling with, it only made it worse. It just reminded me there was a problem, that still existed, and I wasted X amount of time talking about it instead of solving the problem. The less talking and the more doing, the better I feel, even if I'm physically exhausted. Any time I've been depressed, nothing brings more peace than being quiet, alone, and working with my hands.

@@TheWoodedBeardsman ...I was encouraged to go to a 'toddler group' in a local church hall meeting by a female friend. I pushed my way though the doors into the hall only to be faced with a mass, a huge swaths of mums with their sprogs in buggies! I was completely and totally overwhelmed and mortified....needless to say I didn't return or do any toddler group stuff. I was happier collecting chestnuts or building or creating (I build a tree house for my second child, which was very satisfying)...The first child is nearly 18 years old! I think I'd do things v differently too: I'd def do much more outdoors stuff and less trying to fit into the activities and sensibilities of the people around me. Your wife will think about your child for the next 7-9 years. Get used to it. Just keep working on yourself while she focuses on your child. It's the natural order. Keep growing, keep doing your thing and...you take care of her. She's using code word...it's not the child she wants taken care of, it's her, but give it time. I also play hockey , it is mentally and physically a great outlet for all your tension. I am currently playing with a group with ages from late 20s to late 70s. The exercise is good but the group dynamic is outstanding. We keep things loose and have developed a close bond. It is a game like no other in that it is physical but you can see real artistic ability in lots of different ways. I also love the outdoor life and all aspects but time is the great limiter for it. I am bringing my son into the outdoor life to understand that one day he will be somewhere with friends and he might be the only one with skills to manage to make things comfortable for everyone. I was also with my son from the first week he was born until he was about 3 . I would not trade it for anything in the world. Reaching out to someone isn't always possible, but it is very sound advice and I highly encourage it. Suffering from depression myself most of my life, I also suggest men to never stop talking to your spouse, your girlfriend/boyfriend... even of they may not understand, speaking your mind to someone you trust can help work things through, and who knows... they might understand after all if they had other men in their life who went through similar feelings and problems.

Hi ya WB! I cannot true fully speak on how a man feels, but do believe they have feelings, meaning, they have every right to cry. I raised a son with the help of his godmother. Took him fishing, hiking and camping. Started teaching him to drive in my lap at 4 years, at 12, he had the wheel from Amerillo Texas to Las Vegas New Mexico. At 7, bought him bikes, a Yamaha 50, TTR 125, YZ ? 125, at 11, problems wiomy truck, bought books, together, we replaced water pump, starter, fuel pump, oil changes. He’s now 30, he can fix anything on a vehicle if it does not require high tech machinery/tools, he use to hunt w/ his friend, unfortunately marriage/ Mortage, he doesn’t hunt now, for a single mother, I think I raised him to be a good man, I’m proud of him. I work at a convenient store, but you’d think I worked at a bar with the problems I hear from male and female, no complaints, I listen, share my thoughts. In 2006, a guy walks n, I felt something bad, asked if he was okay, he shared some but not all and I knew he was withholding, we had donations for special needs kids (Jerry’s kids) Jerry Lewis) I pointed at her picture and said...she would take “ALL” ur problems just to be able to ride a bike, run and fly a kite, to swim and play like any other kid. 2 hrs later, he came back and thanked me, cause that night he was waiting for his brother to leave, and comment suaside. For a man to show his feelings does NOT make him less of a man, it shows he HAS a heart. My opinion Chris, be it wrong or right, I’ve just met the different what...levels, types of men, I’m no pro, but at 57, I’ll offer my advice to anyone who ask for help/guidance or just an ear, I listen. Now as for cooking meat with butter, didn’t know that and I will most definitely do it! Thank u
