All depends on existing humidity. If it's dry where you live, then this is a cheap swamp cooler/evaporative cooler. If it is humid then it simply won't work for you.

@@sumiths3960 because if the atmosphere already has high moisture in it, the water in the cloth won't evaporate quickly and without evaporation it will not cool down, instead it will further increase the humidity and you'll feel more warm.
