Can you make a video on how to corner tight corners?
@bizzehdee6 жыл бұрын
My main reason is cornering, but not stability, its speed... Im still very bad at judging speed around a corner and always end up going over the top of the corner and landing in a bush :D
@gmbn6 жыл бұрын
Try sessioning one corner over and over. Trying different techniques and less braking each time.

Do you drop your inside foot? I was taught to keep pedals level, but it feels better to me when I drop my inside foot. What's the proper way?
@gmbn6 жыл бұрын
That really depends the corner. Flat corners usually need you to drop your foot, but many berms are best ridden with pedals flat.

Could you make a turning video at last? Not much corners where I ride, but plenty turns.

Great job with your channel guys! may i ask you if you have any trick to force your body forward on the bike? I find myself to have my body weight always in the back of the bike, loosing grip on my front-end. For instance this doesn't happen when I use a smaller bike and i am forced in the middle - front of the bike. Thank you!
@ag_by8576 жыл бұрын
What to do if you are in the corner and realized your speed is too high. You have half second to make decision to press brakes or do strong turn with your bar. I was in that situation few times. What is better choice?? (great channel btw )
@lisapet1606 жыл бұрын
rear brake?
@gmbn6 жыл бұрын
Really hard to say... Both choices could work, though, but both could also lead to a loss of control. Sometimes grabbing the rear brake can make your rear slide and put you in the right line, but sometimes you just have to commit and turn hard!

After my injury 1 month ago i am not sure about what i did wrong. It was muddy, downhill, i take out my foot and suddenly it stucked and then my foot was pointing outside = broken fibula and the end part of the tibia. Maybe the way to go was just to get out of the bike when it felt loose. Seeing videos everyone takes out the foot but maybe is the angle or just not stick it in rock 😑 What do you about your foot when going through a corner or in a slippery terrain?

@pawewielgus21056 жыл бұрын
#askgmbn if you turn and both wheels are loosing grip and your outside pedal is low and your heel is as low as possible and you mussels bike down - is this all you can do to maximize the speed in corner? i’m doing same corner every day (commuting) and i’m wondering if i can do it any faster.
@csidriss49486 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tips Does it make any difference if you push the external pedal, or just balance your weight in both pedals
@gmbn6 жыл бұрын
It depends the corner, really, and the bike has.
@leebunn13796 жыл бұрын
If my front wheel washes out when cornering, is it because my weight is to far back and making the front to light or to far forward making it heavy and pushing it out? If in doubt flat out ended badly for me 8months ago haha.

It's hard to say, but sounds like you could benefit from some filming and observing what you're doing.

#askgmbn Hi Neil, I have clipless set for my pedals, it's always super freaky to drift with them having to unclip into a corner while initiating a drift. Are there ways to drift without having to dab or put your foot down?
@Flyers29296 жыл бұрын
Neil, What about steep switchbacks with and without berms. I raced an enduro over the weekend and one of my biggest problems was running wide because of my braking in the turn but i felt like if i release i would have too much speed. Any tips?
@graemehill99106 жыл бұрын
Brandong13 brake before the turn? Might be answer keep suspension and geometry at best around the corner either that or turn in harder always more grip than you think. Try the drift test around a corner and see how much grip your tyres have at limits just prepare for a small off....

JDM Urbansus when your in the manual, just jump up then push your bars out to level it out, it won’t be amazing but it will be a start
