Girl, I wish I could take a photo come post how my hair turned out. Legit first real attempt at this and I had a outing to go to. I washed my hair and it dried by the time I done practice a one cornrow down the centre. I came and watched this second video for the sides and can I tell you, I just leave the centre that I practiced and did the two brig ones to the side and went on my bowling trip. Thanks a mil. I thought I was hopeless but girl I have hope now . Thanks. Totally subscribed.

I had my hair done in cornrows back in 2006 ish and was told I looked like Bo Derrick. I'm hoping to do this to my own hair this time. I'm not trying to appropriate the style so much as to keep my long hair back with some kind of style as opposed to just a plain old ponytail. Thank you for these tutorials. My hair is straight, thin but lots of it, and long in only looking to cornrow it using just my hair because I have plenty of it.

Such a helpful and informative video! I love how you mentioned the different placements of braiding bc most braiding vids don't mention that. I tend to do right/hand placement, it's just easier for me but do you find that braiding towards back is tighter than doing the right hand/left placement? Hope that made sense! great video :)

I usually braid odd number cornrows because mid parting your hair is almost impossible without a rattail comb, especially when I have straight hair. Plus I usually do the middle braid more chunkier so it looks like a mohawk

My cornrows/flat twists always end further up my head rather than right at my nape. How do I keep this from happening?
@AidaKiraya5 жыл бұрын
sounds to me that you are not keeping your fingers near your scalp at the start. When you first start your cornrows, make sure that your fingers are down close to your scalp, the further up they are, the further your cornrow will start

What would cause my braids to never look detailed at the starts like there isn’t enough distinction between the rest of my hair and the braid and as I braid down my head it becomes more defined. I’ve tried gel and everything I feel like I’m not doing something exactly right? Or is it just because I’m white lol
