LISTENNNNNN. I have been trying to learn to do a decent flat twist for YEARS. Always looked like absolute crap. Based on all the rave comments on your video I saved your tutorial a few weeks ago (with the lowest of expectations for my own ability to follow along). Finally decided to go ahead and follow along today, not even in front of a mirror, because it was just practice - and for the first time ever I got a presentable flat twist! On the first try!!! I am in SHOCK! Seriously, best tutorial ever.

Best flat twist video I have seen, she is not selfish with clear explanations, well done girl. I watched the video only twice and went straight to practice on my kids doll hair, guess what? Peerrrrrffecto. I used the finger I was most comfortable with which is my thumb to scoop more hair unlike her using her index finger to do so as she continues twisting. okay so i have like 4a/4b hair and ive been trying to learn how to do flat twists for a looong time and even with all the other tutorials ive seen on youtube, hers is by far the one that made me learn it. i immediately got up and tried it and the first time it was hard because like you said, the middle parts are harder to grab with one hand, but the second time i tried it on that same half of my hair and i literally couldn’t believe i actually did it! but the other side took like 40 min cause i literally couldn’t do it on that side, like i forgot ? 💀 but thank you so much:) now i know how 🥰🥺

Hi, babe. I'm here to say thank you. I stumbled upon your video earlier today while searching for flat twist videos on mannequins. I've been struggling with doing flat twists on my hair and wanted to learn how to do so on a mannequin before trying again with my hair. After watching a video, I saw yours and decided to watch it even though it wasn't directly what I wanted. I don't know why I didn't find you earlier. It's been a few years since I have desired to learn how to flat twist my hair and I didn't seem to get it right even after watching different videos. After watching yours this morning, I decided to give it a try again. I previously had 8 sessions of cornrows so I began with taking one down, combing my hair out and beginning my first successful flat twist. I also did something different, I didn't look at the mirror till I was done, I guess that helped🤷🏽‍♀️ You should see my face after checking it out and realising I finally did it. I decided to take down another cornrow, this time the one closest to my left ear and then tried to flat twist. I did it again, I almost cried but it was from joy and not frustration. I'm currently wearing 8 sessions of perfectly done flat twists and I'm so happy🥺 My flat twists were all done moving away from my face. I do hope to learn how to flat twist in every direction but this is a good start. Thank you, Abbie, you just gained a loyal subscriber🥺❤️

Great video, it really helped that she would say "twist" and the other words repetitively. This is what makes the video better than the others and an actual tutorial. When I did the twists, I said the words out loud which helped get it right. I also blowdried my hair instead of it being wet to get the volume. Thank you for the video.❤❤❤😊

Finally 😩!!! Whenever I do flat twists, I'd get one good one and the rest look bad. By saying "scoop up, twist then join" it helped me to be consistent with my twisting movements. Now I have a hairstyle consisting of four large flat twists and in the nick of time because I'm going to go on the road soon. Thanks so much for making this video.
