Hi, I was just wondering what a good way to distinguish between an anterior rotation as opposed to a posterior rotation of the opposite side? as in, how do you know that one side is rotated forward instead of the other side being rotated back? Hope this makes sense

If an anterior rotation on one side then a compensatory posterior on the other so I tend to correct both sides - regards JG

Great stuff as always 👍 btw does the leg on the anterior superior side of pelvis appear to be shorter when lying in prone position?

great video John - just one question, what would be the rationale behind correcting anterior rotation of SIJ? Expect there could be many reasons but I'm a 4th year student studying osteo so curious to hear your thoughts...thanks

I have a very enlarged sacrum. The boney parts stick out A LOT. The doctors that have looked have never seen anything like it. I can't find anyone or any advice on how to possibly correct with exercises.

If that's the case exercises might not specifically help - if its not painful then perhaps not try and worry about it...regards JG

John Gibbons, do you see harm in people popping their own SI joints by doing a side posterior like lots of Chiropractors do? Also, if the SI joint can be stuck posterior or anterior, why does it seem like every SI joint manipulation is also the side posture where the force is from the PSIS towards the belly...seem like that could make things work for a SI joint that is stuck anteriorly already.
@JohnGibbons10 ай бұрын
No harm if people do a self release for the joint even though it doesnt address the issue - it will give some feeling of benefit so for the patient it can help! Regards JG

So this is promoting posterior rotation for a innominate “stuck “ in anterior rotation ?

John you are too good. Plz ad disclaimer. However, in India barbars, physiotherapists, massage therapists, hijama therapists, acupressurist are using your videos and opening clinics everywhere as fake Chiropractic doctors without anatomy, biomechanics, osteopathy or chiropractic qualifications. Its very dangerous trend and 3 are already dead in Delhi, Bihar, WB and many are paralyzed and are in coma. It has happened even by physiotherapists who are not qualified to do spine manipulations. Now health ministry is bringing law to jail those who are practicing without chiro or osteopathy degrees.

But you said "Fix" 🤔 it's a word I avoid with my patience. The closest any issue will be resolved is by implementing a systematic exercise plan alongside manual therapy in some cases. Manual therapy has its place but will not "fix" issues alone for longevity. Does that make sense?

@craigrumley3825 with all due respect when you correct someone for their choice of words, it would be nice if you would pay attention to your choice of spelling. I’ll let you figure it out since it seems you are very sharp.
