Thank you, great video! Question on the iron decon. Our new car we have ordered is a convertible. What are the concerns with overspray? I realize you can mask, but rinsing seems like there is potential to get the chemical past the masking?

I bought a new Ford F-150 for $65K. The paint was a mess! The dealership washed it before I drove off. However - I had to clay bar the entire truck. Then I put a sealant on it. I’m 71 years old and this took two days - 9 hours total. There is a reason a lot of the KZbin detail guys demo their products on a Toyota Corolla.

Nick very surprised you did not use Mckees polish wheel lube spray before applying compound to the pad.

For a car this new it wouldn't have made much of a difference, so I decided not to use it to keep it simple. For older paint that's dry, the pad conditioner works wonders at reducing buffer hop. - Nick

Hey Nick - can you explain the role of M37 Coating Prep Polish? It seems like the prep polish is what you would use instead of finishing polish here.

Steve, thanks for calling the other day. Coating Prep Polish would be used on a vehicle with absolutely zero paint defects. For this application, since there were minor swirl and toweling marks, McKee's 37 Complete Finishing Polish was the better choice. - Nick

Thanks for this great video. I did a search and found yours, but I have a specific question(s). I live in Florida as well and recently purchased a brand new SUV. I put a quick ceramic spray on it right away and It turned out beautiful, but I wanted even more protection and shine if that was possible so brought a quick grafene spray application. I now have swirls all over the dark paint. I am kicking myself! Do you have any suggestions I can do at home for a simple solution for my self made dilemma? Thanks in advance. Stu

Our BEAST Compound and FINISHER Polish work extremely well to remove swirl marks and scratches. Plus they are very easy to use. - Nick

BS. This was supposed to be your selling point for me and others. Your chance to showcase the coating. All I really saw was someone washing and polishing. I just wasted 38 minutes of my life waiting to see the whole car finished and coated and all we got to see was half the hood at the end? I guess I'll go with the other brand coating I had looked at previously.

@@McKees37 If you make a future video I would show the whole hood being coated. Perhaps a quick walk around of the whole vehicle to show the entire car after it's done. You can cut out the washing and polishing to save time. Luckily I found Chelsea's detailing channel. She had some good videos of your McKees37 coatings being applied.
