I thank you for all these super helpful videos. I gave my son iPad to watch from before he was even 1. However he didn't get addicted to screens because I did 2 things. One, I counter balanced it with book reading. I started reading to him when he was 2 months old. Every single day rarely skipped. So reading was built into his life and he enjoyed it very much. He is able sit there for a long time to read. Two, I made sure the screen time was provided only at certain time of the day, in his case, its before bed. This was done from early years too so it got built into his life as a routine. He almost never asked for iPad any other times. Very rarely he did ask because he really enjoyed a show or video and he wanted to continue watching. So far this technique worked for us. And he doesn't play video games either. So I would encourage parents to build routine and stick to it.

Just what I needed! Thank you so much Elizabeth for the these great tips! When my 7 and 8 year old daughters have conflict, I have them read a verse from their Jr NKJV bible regarding love and forgiveness. One of them would do a deep sigh or say things like “ugh not the Bible thing again”. They don’t have that type of attitude when it comes to prayer or when I do their teachings. It hurts me when they say things like that.

I can't thank you enough for this video. do you have any advice for a 2 years old, and how to engage her, she can't sit still and is not listening, I have a hard time even taking her to the grocery or department store because all she wants is to run and hide in between clothes racks.
