How to CORRECTLY add an inkjet printer on your Mac

Thanks. I gave up on Apple for printing on my Canon for just this reason, I didn't know that when it automatically detected my printer and offered to install the driver it would automatically install the driver with less capability. I messed up. I trusted them. Thanks again. Maybe now I can use my Mac for more than just watching videos. I hear it's a 3 trillion dollar market cap company.

You're welcome! We usually recommend keeping the printer wired when printing to avoid any issues with Wi-Fi speed

@@PermaJetUK What kind of usb cable does it use? It says high speed but does not designate A or C. Main concern being length of cable.

@@itaylorm most printers use USB A to B cables as standard, these can be bought online as any length from 1.2 metres upwards. Some printers also offer an Ethernet network cable option
