Hello, very good and instructive video! Can you tell what is the name of the blue things which you are using to check the correct fittings for the hose (from the box), and where I can find it? Thanks

Good idea with the projectile. I'll use a chunk of foam. Kind of like the idea of when you powerwash a surface and afterwards you can wipe it with your hand and the dirt actually comes off then. Air isn't enough to remove particles stuck to the rubber.

Who's got all that equipment?
@Austinhose3 жыл бұрын
Hey Ellie, good question. This video is targeted more to help shops safely and correctly make hydraulic assemblies. We understand that owning all this equipment might seem impossible to some shops, that's why we partner with our customers and get them this entire setup (check out our plug & play hose shop video) for FREE! If you would like to learn more about how to partner with us feel free to email us at customercare@austinhose.com

And you only checked one end and did not blow the third projectile like the manufacturer recommended. WHY.?
@danielcramer28693 жыл бұрын
Master Dan, you are correct that the manufacturer does recommend to clean the hose with the third projectile, however there is a problem that can occur where it gets stuck inside the hose after you have crimped the fittings down. If this happens and you install the hose, then the projectile will get into the hydraulic system and cause major issues. It is my opinion that the risk of this failure is not worth the extremely small percentage of contamination that could be left after you have crimped the hose. Thank you for your question.

@@danielcramer2869 well if the manufacturer says they require that you do it then if you don’t and something goes wrong and they ask did you run the third plug threw and you lie and say yes or tell the truth and say no will the warranty cover it or not . it all goes back to take responsibility of your actions. Have they done extensive testing on this matter.?have you? If it gets stuck do they have a procedure to get it out? And if not I’m sure that I could get it out fairly easy. Just trying to understand no disrespect. I mean you already learned me about the plug blown through the hose I had know idea they did that makes sense.
@danielcramer28693 жыл бұрын
@@masterdanprice2904 these are recommendations, not requirements. 90% of hydraulic hose shops around the country don't shoot any projectile through the hose at all, so this is a major step up from that. If a customer requires that we blow the third plug then of course we will. The problem is that sometimes you don't realize if it's stuck or not. If this mistake is made, then it can ruin a hydraulic pump which becomes a much bigger problem. Customers are free to make their own choices as far as how little or how much cleaning they do. My opinion is that the 2 plugs are better than zero and the third is not worth the failure it could cause. If you would like to buy a hydraulic table and shoot all 3 plugs through that would be great. I'd love to sell you one.
