Appareantly I was born with the leg flexibility starter pack, and THANKFULLY I mantained it by chilling in abnormal leg positions, this has allowed me direct access to perform this exercise

Ahh, this is filled with great info! I always saw people doing Cossack but never felt I could safely do it! This helps a lot!

I’m so glad it was helpful!🙌🏼 It just takes the right modifications to find an appropriate entry point for your current level, and then over time you can use these progressions to build up to those more advanced levels!

@@Flexibility.MaestroYou said it was a lot to take in, but I found it to be just right. It’s the best video I’ve found. Awesome.

Oh I loved this. I already do Cossack squats but I was looking for variations to teach for beginners and this was exactly what I needed, thank you very much ❤❤

awesome video! i have been having great results with standing good mornings, horste stance squats etc! but now i feel the need for a change so this is perfect timing! thanks so much :)

Once you’ve built some good hip mobility with things like GMs and Horse Stance, the Cossack Squat allows you to really develop lots of strength through those ranges that you’ve unlocked. A great “next step” for you in your journey - in my opinion. Hope this helps!🙌🏼

@@Flexibility.Maestro Awesome! I always did the GM and HS weighted, so i will first carefully check out the Cossack Squat and then maybe after a few weeks start adding weights! Your channel is awesome, and i really enjoy your approach to flexibility! :)

Dá para conseguir chegar a um side split com o cossack squat ?
@lucieg16864 ай бұрын
Thank you! Is it useful to progress on the pancake? Also, what do you think about pairing it with an ATG Split Squat? Are those two kind of the same, or are they complementary?
@Flexibility.Maestro4 ай бұрын
Yes the progressing the cossack is beneficial for pancake training, but it’s not going to replace pancake-specific exercises that build the qualities of that position directly. More of a supplement to pancake training in that application As for the ATG split squat, I do believe they’re complimentary to one another. Yes they are similar, but they train different planes of motion and therefore different muscle groups & movement capacities. So alternating between the both of them is a good idea from my perspective🙌🏼

Cossack squat is when you point your toes toward the ceiling. If you keep your foot pointing forward it's a side lunge
@perotal4 ай бұрын
No. Foot toward the ceiling just emphasizes the hamstring more instead of the inner thighs. A side lunge is when you step out to the side every rep and bring the legs back together on the concentric.
@proudmisfit44054 ай бұрын
@@perotal yup. correct. a lunge is an exaggerated step
