You can willingly eat a trap and finish him off by DMing his shots and killing him on the reload if the Junkrat decides to stay for whatever reason. Which reminds me, learn to count shots as DVa.

Sigma is a great counter to bastion. You can throw a rock at him in minigun mode, put your shield in his face or just absorb all his damage (and if he’s stupid you can get a bunch of over health from doing this)

The only way to effectively deal with a bastion is to use grasp in his face then accretion immediately after, which wastes 2 abilities for 1 Dva can completely neg his assault form with dm and melt him with her guns

genji is also a really good counter for bastion since bastions hitbox is big genji’s shuriken can land more frequently and genji’s deflect allows him to go in front of bastion in his sentry mode

I would add two things to this list 1: bastion, stay away from turret form as every tank but sigma, because sigma can gain 400 hp during his turret form and then use accretion to stun him for his team. 2: for countering sym any support helps but i've found that brig really helps as she can beat her by strafing since she has burst options and a wider angle than sym to damage, also she completely doesn't care about sym's ult and can still easily focus her.

Zarya is also quite good against Junkrat. She usually doesn't have the range to engage him directly when he has high ground, but her bubbles will actively turn his damage into a detriment to his own team.

Bastion main here, the biggest counter against an aggressive Bastion will always be Sigma, his kit is literally perfectly designed to counter Bastion. When the shield is properly positioned, it's an absolute time waster if the Bastion is in Tank mode to try and chew through. Sigma's rock throw is a great way to delay or wait out the tank mode since it the stun really wastes a lot of time, and if the Bastion is a brainless only fire turret in tank mode, using black hole to suck up all of the attack, close the distance, and be god-like from the HP boost from sucking up all the attack, is literally how you turn yourself into a Sigma team sweeper. It's fun to be a Sigma against Bastion, but sucks being a Bastion against a Sigma if you don't know how to out pace him.

You missed arguably the most important one: Pharah Pharah is incredibly oppressive in open maps and can be defestating against team compositions like Poke and Brawl that heavily close encounter combat and keeping together as a team. It also doesn't make it better that Pharah can deny the protection of the tank making Sigma and Rein shit and Zarya losing power as she needs to give sustain to her teammates and risk dying since she can't possibly reach her. So here are some counters: Obviously everyone's go for dealing with everyone's hated Egyption Locust is Soldied, Sojourn, and Widow since they provide powerful hitscan at medium to long range. (NOTE: Sojourn's primary counts as projectiles but her secondary is hitscan.) A well placed Torb turret creats a field of influence that prevents her from crossing into your mid or backline without the risk of death; placing your turret in high places that may require high elevation or strange off angles will either force her to shoot your turret while we can shoot her or attempt to fight the enemy team while playing the world's worst game of peek-a-boo. The existence of a Roadhog on your team effectively tells her "don't peak or you'll have a bad time." Dva also is good against Pharah but for the exact opposite reason: since Dva can fly and has infinite sustain in combat, she can dive to her, maybe eat a ro ket for lunch and kill her.

When bastion goes turret mode just be genji and deflect all shots right in front of him before he can react and when he realises or the ability gets over, dash to end him. Even if he reacts fast enough, that's substantial damage to bastion.

The junkrat tip is interesting because it's applicable precisely in the lower ranks. The playstyle you mentioned is incorrect and ineffective in the necessary overwatch playstyle but it is the way that people play the character. Ideally you want to flank and get a surprise pick or two, but since people insist on spamming shots that aren't gonna hit anyone I guess technically you're correct.

As a torb main, it depends on the rank and how the turret is set up for when you should focus turret. Many high rank torbs would place their turret somewhere in the hopes you take your attention to it or place it as flank watch, many underestimate torbs raw power don't make that mistake.

I love how this is good to help beginners get a hang of the game and eventually a better understanding. However the whole purpose of the game is to adapt and overcome with any means any hero beats any hero it’s all based on player skill yes switching up helps but not always because if your skill level is gapped by the dps and they have more knowledge than you on how to play you like a fiddle I’m sorry to say but play to their tune and your dead either way I’ve seen dps played solo teams with just how skilled they are it’s crazy but it’s true the reality is it’s teamwork and skill that gets the kills in games like this no matter what comp you use to beat your opponent. As a Torb main, I am proud to be on this list. Also my hitbox may be wide but a good Torb knows how to circle and play around with it. A tip against that, if you see a Torb that knows movement, run cc character, or just Orisa.

I have some input for 2 of the DPS. 1. Junkrat. There is some junkrat player who play medium to short range. Using the 2 bomb and concussion combo. 2. Sym. Idk if sym get nerfed hard in OW2. But she is one of the dps i called shield buster because her weapon can get increased damage whet attacking and can replenish ammo if she attack shield. So yeah just somr input. Nice tips tho...

To counter bastion you gotta use Orisa, if you can try to close the gap on a bastion. Use fortify and then spin to deflect and then close use spear and then just headshot him. This is a good play when you have your ult or if nano is ready.

For bastion my first two people I thought would counter are tracer as bastion cant keep ip with her blinks, and because of his large hit-box tracer can easily hit all her shots. Next would be Genji his good mobility and going right up into the face of a bastion when in turret mode is good as the bastion would shoot you down as you are right in-front of him and then you use deflect making him lose all his health in 3 seconds

As a Bastion main, I must say this is pretty accurate, but you forgot that Moira and Reaper can shadow step, and Genji can deflect. Not to mention Sigma can suck, Orisa can spin, and pretty much everybody can deny a Bastion if they knew how. I won't tell you any more because I fear for my life.
