Hi Ruth! Loved this video series. I also suffer from dark eye circles and feel like I cannot get away with light coverage and I'm always on the hunt for a high coverage concealer. I was surprised u haven't mentioned my two favourite: the Nars creamy concealer (very creamy and needs setting) and the MAC pro longwear concealer is also great for under eye but requires a heavy eye cream if u have dry eyelids... Give them a go and u might like them too!

I used to use the erase paste and I love it a lot. Right now I am using and also loving the La Mer Radiant Concealer. It has a bit of a brightening effect.

I have used erase paste for about 3 years and I love it!! Its great at covering dark circles. You only need a tiny amount and because it is quite a tacky texture you need to make sure you powder after applying a concealer on top xx

I've recently been using Eve Lom Brilliant Cover concealer under my very dark undereyes. She also makes Light Illusion Concealer which is similar to Touche Eclat, but can work alone to conceal lighter circles. I am always blown away by how well they both work. I love looking wide awake :)

This was great! Hoping you are feeling better already :). I have tried a salmon-y potted concealer by both NYX and Pixie (here in the US) with mixed results. Not sure if Erase Paste would be different/better, but will try your technique with the correctors I already own. Thank you.

thank you for this x i just use my essence 16 hour or 2 in 1 cream concealers & set them with a yellow powder from a ebay pallet, and the yellow doesnt come off odd on me, like it blends in well, i think rubbing the under eye caused them for me, like i tried to do right by my skin and moisturize but it seems to have caused worse issues, like my dark circles are worse than before

If you just like them then there is of course nothing wrong with that :) but otherwise i think what many people do wrong is that after concealing they dont add back some definition to the eye. Adding a medium brown eyeshadow in the crease and just below the waterline can bring the definition back (particularly below the waterline), and a darker liner on top of the eyelid and some mascara.

I have the same feeling when I conceal! because my circles are so dark I feel like someone else actually, and my face seems longer. So I can't wear concealer without a tiny bit of contouring to bring my features back together.

i have it too. i notice it is because of the eye products i use that didnt get absorbed. u can try something lighter.

I had to have them removed by an MD that only works in eye surgery. I was given Vicodin and Valium to take before the procedure and he did a very neat clean job. He knew I was very particular about my skin and gave me instructions to follow after the procedure.I hope years don't get so big that you have to have them remove like I did.

i enjoy erase paste by benefit. i have the color medium that came in like a box with a few other products. sometimes it can be a bit heavy and i have dry under eyes to begin with so what i do is i put on a light eye cream and follow with the erase paste right away. and it works beautifully. doesnt move around either ( i set it anyway). but yeah i usually do the eye cream first and then the concealer back to back when its on the thick side. it works great and like i said im dry under there. xoxo

I find that undereye concealer doesn't last on me. I've tried putting it under and over foundation, with powder and without and with powder foundation on top to give some extra coverage. By the end of the day the purple is showing through and my undereyes usually look creased or powdery. Where does the concealer go?

I find that without putting foundation over/under it makes it look best! I just moisturise. Then I would put 1 layer of Fit Me Concealer, then MAC loose powder, then another tiny layer of both again. Works for me, maybe you should try this? my skin is combination/dry.

You have a natural shade under your under eyes and so I wouldn't even consider them as under eye circles!!:) honestly you really don't need to conceal them and when you do you can use and do use minimal product as you are just perfecting that area and enhancing your perfect skin!!:))) when concealing horrendous under eyes (like mine lol) it takes more product, a corrector Is a must, thin layers and blending to achieve some coverage, then go that extra step of highlighting and setting for a flawless finish!

I can get my makeup done and look in the mirror and it is disappeared and extremely disappointing! Nothing lasts (even perfume) even with primer. Ugh. Get a really good under eye cream, use twice daily, and also make sure the concealer you're using is moisturising. Maybe look over your overall liquid intake, your skin might be dry because you haven't been hydrating yourself properly.

Hi Ruth, what are your views on under eye primers? I've noticed Smashbox has one and Gariner has an under eye blur cream. Both are meant to stop the concealer settling into fine lines and prolonging the concealer - have you tried either of these? Or do you have another under eye recommendation?
