I’ve actually BEEN cowashing with regular conditioner for years now and recently tried an actual co-wash product. After not liking the cowash product very much and after feeling validated seeing you co-wash with regular conditioner, I’m gonna go back to it haha.

Thanks so much! Very informative. I can't wait to use this knowledge on my hair. I didn't realize you should still condition again after cowashing. I also don't think I've been scrubbing enough.

Another great video. I'm glad I'm not alone with the Cantu. I love it also but I can only use it in summer months. I have been struggling with dryness this winter. I was shocked to be having so many issues. Even with all of my moisture rich favorite products and deep conditioners. Fast forward cow washing has been my answer lol. I finely feel like I'm back on track 😅

I want to try this! Do you have any tips on the best way to scrub your scalp for optimal results?
@JordanFaith
@JordanFaith 4 жыл бұрын
The way I find works best is to slide my fingers in through my hair so they are pressing right up against my scalp and then move my fingers in little circular motions, scrubbing with the pads of my fingers, making sure to slowly make my way to every part of my scalp :)

Do you think cowashing with this conditioner be cleansing enough after prepooing with oils?
@JordanFaith
@JordanFaith 2 жыл бұрын
It really would depend on your hair and on the oil being used! You can definitely try it to see if it works for you, but you may find you need to use a shampoo instead

Hello here are my questions: 1. can this method be used when you're swimming in a chlorinated pool almost everyday? 2.what water temperature should you use when rinsing out the conditioner of your scalp and when rinsing it of your mids to ends? 3. can this method completely replace washing the scalp with shampoo? 4. should you do this method everyday?
@JordanFaith
@JordanFaith 3 жыл бұрын
Hi, great questions! 1. It can be done, but look out for signs of build up. I’d recommend using a cheating shampoo to help remove the chlorine and following with a deep conditioner. The frequency will depend on how your hair feels! 2. I like to rinse off the scalp with lukewarm-warm water, and I like to rinse the ends with cool water :) 3. Depending on your hair type you may find that you can do it more or less often, but I always recommend using a clarifying shampoo occasionally, once a month is a good starting point and you can adjust from there 4. I personally don’t prefer washing daily no matter the method being used, but if you need to wash every day you can choose to cowash daily. You may want to try alternating with a lowpoo, but that will depend on your hair type and preference :)

You thought you should not apply conditioner on Scalp? Will any conditioner work?
@JordanFaith
@JordanFaith 3 жыл бұрын
Cowashing can work for some as it’s a gentle way to cleanse without stripping moisture from the hair :) I don’t recommend exclusively cowashing. I would make sure to use a conditioner free of silicone to avoid build up

Do You recommend cowashing more often than once a month?💦
@JordanFaith
@JordanFaith 4 жыл бұрын
I always recommend experimenting and finding what works best for YOU. I personally cowash every other wash with a lightweight conditioner, alternating with a lowpoo. I only wash once or twice a week, so I cowash anywhere from 2 to 4 times a month :)
