How to crack CAT as a Repeater?

I scored a 95%ile in QA and 89%ile in LRDI but got only 56%ile in VARC in CAT'22. Though I solved whole IMS material online s well as offline even solved whole Arun sharma CAT size passages. But still it didn't work in the exam. How should I go about this time in VARC?

Hi Rahul, It's just a matter of getting another 4-5 questions right so it's not an area of concern as such. Verbal is a slightly tricky section to tackle because there are no absolute intermediate steps while arriving at the right answers. I would suggest two things here: 1) Avoid over-attempting: Do not mark an answer even if you have a 5% doubt or are torn between two options. You can mark the answer on your rough sheet and check it later but don't submit it during the SIMCAT 2) Think aloud when you are solving questions and record yourself and your thought process throughout. You can then have a look at the official solution and see where your thought process went wrong. In terms of uncertainty, you may disagree with say 5-10% of the solutions but there is no reason why you should not get the remaining 90% right. If you go with this thought process, you might see an improvement in your performance. All the best!
