Thank you for this great video. I already did about 70 leet code but after a month when I look at the same problem I solved it I don't remember which algorithm I used and it takes me 30 mins or one hour to solve it again. Is this normal? Can you please guide me in these 3 questions: 1. When were you looking at the correct solution -- before you began the problem when you got stuck, only after struggling to solve it yourself? How long until you would look at the solution, typically? 2. What would you do after you'd not solved the problem, but looked at the answer? 3. What would you do after you did solve a problem?
@techdose4u
@techdose4u 4 жыл бұрын
1) I try a code with dry running my algorithm and give it some time like 30 mins (for interview prep problems). If you can't solve or can't think then see the editorial. 2)Try to implement the editorial or code after understanding. This will help boosting atleast your implementation skill. 3)I see other other approaches to know about possible algorithms and better ideas.

If you are appearing for college placements then a small project should be fine (since you cannot do internship or full-fledged project because it requires a lot of time). You can do simple Machine learning projects like handwritten digit recognition or anything simple like done which can be done and dusted in a day. Then focus only on preparation. Your problem solving ability is much more important than your project if you are still in college.

As per given plan time is very less, if anyone will fallow that rule then that person get to know it's not easy to complete all questions and getting the concept deeply , in this we can cover only previous year question but if interviewer mould the question we will not be able to give a precise and concise solution , because we haven't tried anything new, we have just covered the previous pre asked questions, my suggestions is give 3 days more to each topic and go through leetcode and try some new problem then we get to realise how much prepare i m atleast min to min 4 month required to get your dream job 👍, i hope i m right.

@@techdose4u Agreed. Maybe because in interviews there's an upper limit to which you can push the difficulty levels for graphs. First up, the nodes visiting and handling of neighbours in graph is itself problematic for most. However, arrays have so vast diversity in questions. I solve them and almost all the time it so happens that theres a better approach out there. Just a question I had to ask, suppose I stumble upon a question in interview. After trying everything, I was able to reduce the complexity to O(NlogN) but a linear solution exits as well, so will Interviewer reject me if I cant come up with BEST solution? Python is all about googling because a good engineer should be first a good explorer :) You know sufficiently well. If you have knowledge on C then you can also read Narsimha Karumanchi book on DS & Algo, otherwise, just solve different types of problems making use of different programming data structures and paradigms. You will get each and every required tool on internet. Moreover, geeksforgeeks fo contain codes in python. Even if it doesn't then you can get the Python code in the COMMENT section. Only the mentioned data structures are sufficient enough for coding test of product based companies like amazon,flipkart etc.? I am solving from geeksforgeeks and there are around 100 questions on each topic with different levels. Is it necessary to solve all level questions and most importantly, is geeksforgeeks sufficient?
@techdose4u
@techdose4u 4 жыл бұрын
Geeksforgeeks is more than sufficient. You need to read most questions but solve only a few. You will be good. Solve questions from interviewbits and read from geeksforgeeks. That should be enough.

Do we need to be good at competitive programming or only following this approach will vwork in order to crack product based company interview? In such a short span of time.

Following this will work. CP is not essential for product based company. Just focus on problem solving.

Do we need to learn dynamic programming, back tracking and greeding algorithms also
@techdose4u
@techdose4u 4 жыл бұрын
Backtracking is very important because it is simply doing DFS. DP is not very imp. You can learn memoization and solve many backtracking problems efficiently. Cover basic algorithms and data structures first.

Longer path in the sense should I solve from gfg/interviewbit now itself or should I practice now from leetcode and later follow this schedule??
@prasadthombare6208

I don't think this less time will make it. In this way your just rote learn if your not understanding enough. I think it will take at least 6 months. You should have very good knowledge of each concept and whenever you see the problem you have that ability to apply those concepts.

Sir, the only question I wanted to ask is, can we study these topics from geeksforgeeks directly and move into the interview questions or do we need to study these topics separately and then start programming?
@techdose4u

You need to first study and then code....code only similar chosen problems and not all of them because you are short on time.

In gfg, so many methods are given for a single problem....is doing all of them benefitial? Or can I skip 1 or 2 methods which I am facing a little bit difficulty at and they too have same complexity as the other ones?
@techdose4u
@techdose4u 4 жыл бұрын
Yes. If you haven't covered certain DS then it is recommended that you understand the DS and then cover that problem. In that way, array will take longest time. But once you are done with it, it will be easier to follow next topic.
