I just bought two issues of Rom Spaceknight #3 & #5. Both NM CGC at a 9.6. I can understand slabs on Golden Age, Silver Age and Bronze Age Key issues. I myself take extremely great care of my comics. By only reading them like once every few years. Then bag and board them immediately and put them in comic boxes. In a cool dry dark area. The only thing I do differently then you did here. Is I cut two sides super slow/carefully on the final inside plastic mylar.

Congrats on being the best video I have seen on cracking slabs as of yet. Still seems like using a rock to do what a exacto can do with a little patience and time.

hi great video I have to crack open on a book I sent to cgc the book sent in came back with 2 creases which it didn't have when I sent it in, they are so obvious I would have notticed them before I sent it in. My books were I sitting at the London office for 3 months and not forwarded on to Florida so any think could have happed to it but its my word against theirs so I am going to get it pressed .the book came back as a 8.4 ,with a pressing I hope to get a 9.8,the book is selling for around £400---£500 so its worth resubmiting it. thanks. for the vid

Is it easy to tell if your case has been cracked by someone else? I don't want to get ripped off.
@skeffscomicknowledge16063 жыл бұрын
Oh yes it’s super easy to tell , they tend to splinter

Skeff’s Comic knowledge yeah the new ones are harder to crack open than the old ones. Which is a good thing.
@pantheraleo24904 жыл бұрын
Put an old comic in the case and drive over it, then release it as a how to. See who bites 😂

He could have seen the crease without cracking it. Also what's with the lisp. Man loves to hear himself talk.

People can grasp the 2 kitty corners and twist and flex a CGC case for 50 to 100 times (listen for the dozens of micro crackling sounds), then it will come apart very easy WITH OUT even cracking the plastic. Then they switch in a lower graded book and super glue it shut. This is why I refuse to buy CGC books from people i do not know. Not to brag on PGX, but that is why they seal the grade and the book into 1 piece.

Fascinating concept , have you been able to replicate this ?
@Backtothehat3 жыл бұрын
The old cases were easier to crack. These new cases are dangerous!
@skeffscomicknowledge16063 жыл бұрын
Right !! They are a little sturdier and take longer but It makes me feel safer about the books
