How to Craft and Paint a Rusty Industrial Base!

In this Video, we create an industrial style base for our recently painted Jinx and VI from the Netflix Show Arcane.You may know these Characters also from League of Legends.
Everything can be accomplished in simple steps and relatively fast, I did the whole base in 30 minutes using a hair dryer in between steps.

Does the glow in the dark paint fluoresce under a black-light? Overall this piece looks fantastic and the quality of your videos continue to impress, keep it up! When you do more of these rusted industrial looking pieces, perhaps consider picking out some of the metal panels to have been previously painted in order to do some chipping effects and break up the monotone brown? Such pieces could have been done in a solid blue, red, or green, or maybe even a black & yellow hazard stripe, the sky is the limit here.

Hi @Beas1987, always nice to read your comments=) Never thought about black-light before, does such a colour react to such a light? Thanks man, I try my best and comments like that are motivating as hell! That's a really good advice there, I wanted to create a heavy contrast between the models and the base but a little more details would have been great, especially the hazard stripes. I will keep that in mind if I make such a base again ^^

@@MiniQuest64 Yes it definitely shows the contrast. For a plinth type base it should definitely be secondary to the models and any details should be to draw the eye to those rather than the base :)

@@MiniQuest64 I haven't done any miniature painting and collecting for years, so now I do it vicariously through videos like yours :) These days my art projects are digital in the form of pixel art. Maybe one day I will pick up a brush again!

One of my favorite scenes is when Ekko fights Jinx on the bridge, and he has that flashback before returning to the present. I would recreate him leaping off the ground about to hit Jinx, that moment was absolute perfection.

Hey coole 😎 Idee mit der Base. Will demnächst eine Punkerin bemalen . Da werde ich mich bei dir inspirieren lassen. Trink mal noch ein wenig "Ideen-Wasser" und lass es raus. Damit wir weiterhin auch was davon haben.

Zu einer Punkerin könnte das gut passen, eventuell noch ein wenig mehr Farbe rein in Form von Beleuchtung und Neonröhren ^^ Mach ich auf jeden Fall!
