This review covers the more focussed analysis of Comics, and how to become better at creating them. Although I would like to stress, I am not a graphic artist, I find these two books have been invaluable in educating me into what makes visual elements work, and I'd like to think I've applied them well to my work as a Product Designer, and Technologist.
There is much hype and buzz-wording of 'Storytelling' at the time of writing this, and I rather like that this book pre-dates much of that, but is in fact a better body of work, rather than someone who'd riding a wave. So if you want to understand how to craft visual elements, narrative, composition, character development, world building, etc. - or just make something feel immersive, then these books are terrific!
