Great resin effects. I've only used UV Resin in some of my mini bases, but this is something I'm going to have to try out. Thanks for the video!

Thanks for watching =) I've never used UV Resin on my mini bases, is that used with a UV flashlight?

@@MiniQuest64 that's right. Cures in less than a minute- heats up too. It's great for making small puddles or extra wet effects etc. And since a 28mm mini base is so small, you have much more control. I used it significantly on the Marid genie "no one" from P2L episode 65: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pX-UdINrms2LZ80

Thanks Toby! I took it for a christmas project "da red gobbo" but didn't finish painting/editing before christmas, so it resulted in a christmas insta post and no video ^^

I am new to resin- would this process work in a glass bowl that I do not want to use as a mold- want the bowl to look like filled with frozen ice for a small penquin diorama

Yeah that could work, it depends on the kind of resin, the amount you're going to use and thickness of the glass bowl. I would suggest getting some epoxy resin that can be poured in one thick layer, which wouldn't produce to much heat to break the glass bowl. Edit: Make sure to clean the glass bowl with some Isopropanol and let it dry completely before pouring. Do not use water, any small amount of water in epoxy resin can ruin the curing process.

How do you glue the models to the bases once done ? or do you pin them ?

Normally superglue is enough, if I would have to put down a very heavy metal model, then I would pin that.
