I am glad essences are getting some love from GGG finally. They've been strong for a long time especially due to the interactions with harvest/fractured items defnitely the most underrated crafting in PoE.

I wish we could make voided private leagues with unnerfed league mechanics like harvest. I'd be very happy to make a small private league with my friends and enjoy the level of crafting we find fun.

The reason for private leagues was as a test ground before players could do Flashback / Mayhem type leagues later on. As with 99% of things GGG talks about or introduces ...they abandoned the project immediately afterwards. The only reason they even increased private server player limits was when they realized Ziz leagues were bringing in a ton of free marketing and money.

The arguement that the game will be balanced around harvest items is flawed. According to this arguement there should be no build guides since GGG will and has balance player power around builds content creators share with the community. Is there anyone argueing for the removal of build guides?

Thats a bit of a tautological argument youre making. Obviously its okay to balance around things that exist in the game, or that players have access to; by definition thats what balance takes into account. Specifically, balancing around Harvest has problems. Literally everything would have to be drastically warped to maintain the level of difficulty the devs deem appropriate. As well, it would massively cramp design space going forward, far more than any other mechanic. As an example, any really powerful mods would have to have no tags that Harvest could hit, or be weighted incredibly low in combination with dilution of the mod pool for said tag (to the point where it cant be guaranteed).

One point on Harvest Crafting. Why not take an idea from Last Epoch. Everytime you use harvest on an item it gets damaged. That means you can use harvest on the same item only a few times. It would solve the highend crafting, but still would be good for every other player.

Best way to craft, run high end red maps juiced out your head and sell for currency to buy them. Crafting is in such a bad place right now I feel, it's too random even with metamodding and harvest. We need more high end currency for your uber crafts but the base crafting experience I feel just isn't where it needs to me.

The player that literally lives from crafting TENKIEI saying WHAT? oh, this deterministic crafting that harvest was providing is bad for the game and for the casual players that I sell items to? this guy believes we are all idiots in this game? 3 times fewer players than the last league... because the harvest is not here anymore and the nerfs to all the stuff that helped casual players ... and he is saying harvest affects on the long term? :) well, I would not play the game in the current state ... and my problem is not texture streaming it's simple... I play 5 builds ( Totems, Cremation Archamage, Ball Lightning Archmage, Toxic Rain. Elementalist Golems and I don`t want to play anything else ) they all feel like shit to play this league... until they will feel good to play ... GGG can continue to buff the TOP Players they are losing the 120$ / league from me )

@@박동민-e6s it feels bad to play the builds in end game ... you don`t have the same level of gear from the last league and now you don't have the crafts to sell to the top players to get some currency to buy good gear ... it's not a matter of damage... it's a nerf to casual players ... a casual player wants to join the game and play it for 2-3 hours tops .. well now he will play 30 minutes and 2.5 hours will do research about the game .. and that takes the fun away all my community is gone .. there's like 14 players in 9 clans playing the game currently they all just left because of the nerfs

@@CyrusBlack404 im talking very end game rn. Due to the changes to enchants totems can actually buy virdi helm with enchants. Toxic rain can get some really good aoe clear if you spec that side or get really good boss dmg with conc and stuff. Archmage ball lightning just still is really good with. And i play 3 to 6hrs a week. And every single hour in the game i am making progress i get good enough relevant currency. The nerfs to splits heavily nerfed the top 1%s income that my currency means a lot more than last league. And harvest sill is the most op money maker rn. Rather than selling crafts casuals just reforge simple bases. The changes to betrayal and alva is now also a really good supplement to getting currency. And the global drop pool for some league items definitely made alot of gear cheaper.

@@박동민-e6s yes theoretically you are right ... the helm for hexproof was the same last league for totems ... play the actual build and see how shit it is ... if you don`t properly invest in it ... that is all I'm saying. I played Ball Lightning, last league, I was crushing T19 maps.. now I get random 1 shots in t14 .. true rare still ... as for how easy it is to make currency ... compared to the last league .. well.. it's trash ... true I got like 10 exalts from pure drops this league .. but a pair of boots that the last league I was doing with 5-8 exalts are now easy 25-40, Literally, and not only that with a few crafts sold the last league you could easily get some proper items especially when people with divination cards were getting double the amount of house of mirrors and they were tipping ... nerfs to the top players can be felt dow because everything is more expensive and even tho, in theory, you are right it should not be any difference .. playing the builds it just feels bad... I can`t explain it I`m somewhat a new player started in Delirium .. it just feels shit to play the builds especially in End Game I made 4 out of 5 builds and they all feel trash ..and I have played them since Delirium Every single league ... never before I had this amount of deaths even in Delirium when I was learning the game .. they kept on nerfing defenses league after league after league and you can feel the difference now ... yes, in theory, it should be the same ... it's not ...

Badger you're not alone! I chaos spamed a lot this league. Most of the times my attempts ended with nothing. But I got insane archmage boots this way (4 tier 1 mods including mana and int, Aisling, crafted bench) and one cold cluster which I sold for 12ex. Now I play cold build myself and waste fossils, chaos and harvests trying to get the same thing but getting nowhere.

How to gamble in POE in 2021... Chaos spamming never game me any significant upgrade. Rolling T13 - T6 mods on iLVL 86 is stupid at best... Hope that GGG adds something worthy of being called crafting in PoE 2... GGG made so much errors nerfing harvest... The only thing to do to stop harvest from being exploitative for the game should have been to account bound items done with harvest, not nuke it...
