The one gelli print looks like a sunset on the ocean. Your finished piece is wonderful.

Persnally, i liked it best at the 7.54 stage. It is a great demo of possinilities though and i will definitely get the oil pastels out.❤

I find that if you put the gel medium on the substrate then lay your tissue on top it's way easier. Also, of you use heavier paper for your collage, spray it with water, spread gel medium, then lay down your collage paper. Smooth with credit card or similar item to remove bubbles. You'll get way smoother collage this way.

Thank you! I like the thinness and transparency of tissue paper. If I could find a thicker but still transparent paper that might be optimal. 😍

Swedish Tracing Paper ( Amazon) is a better alternative to tissue paper. It is used to make dressmaking patterns and can be sewn. It has excellent transparecy when used with gelli printing and strong enough for collage too

I will look into that! The tissue paper I have is quite delicate. Thanks so much. 😍

Loved this! Two questions: Do you ever work more vertically and do you ever work on a larger scale?
@MixedMediaArtByTrina Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I tend to work either horizontal or square. I might challenge myself to experiment with vertical pieces going forward. I do love working on larger pieces but mostly I love working on paper. I have a 36”x 36” blank canvas that needs to be painted. We shall see. 😍

What did you use/apply on the stencils? I love your style. So Beautiful! Thank you for sharing.

Hey Patricia! I used acrylic paint with a makeup sponge on the stencil. It makes it easy to get in those small areas. 😍

I so enjoyed watching your artful process; each stage is its own work of art. Could you please share the name of the medium you use with the stencil ? Thank you, Lynn
@MixedMediaArtByTrina5 ай бұрын
Hello Lynn, I’m using watered down acrylic paint with a makeup sponge. You could really use anything with a stencil. I sometimes use my water soluble pastels with this technique. Hope that helps. 😍

I love this piece and the process! That stencil is amazing!!! Do you have the name or link? The link posted goes to a Japanese park page.

Hey Brandy, sorry about the link. I got the stencil from TEMU. It’s called the ‘Plaid Scrapbooking DIY Painting Template’ Hope that helps! 😍
