You have the best painting wet into wet skill I've ever seen. Wonderful results!

Thank you so very much, Ben. I've been very bad about getting new videos out out. We moved 2,000 miles away and I'm just now getting to the point where I can start painting again.

So glad you can start painting again. I would love for you to make a video where you expound on your wet into wet technique. I have my observations but that's not as good as hearing it from you yourself. I've watched a lot of watercolor videos and I don't think I've seen anyone who achieves your control of paint application and local values doing wet into wet. It's awesome to watch.

@@benalbritton LOL, Ben, you're making me blush!! But you have certainly given me the perfect subject for my next video. Sorry, the quality of the film is so amateurish, but I just do them on my phone and am very bad at learning editing skills. Thanks again for your kind words.

What type of brush were you using for this tutorial? Thanks.
@susanharper99042 жыл бұрын
I was using one of Billy Showell 's sable brushes. She now uses synthetic and no longer carries these. However, they were made for her by Rafael and are extra fine pointed sable rounds. I believe this is a number 4.

This video really helped me, but could you make a video on color wheel

I'm so glad this helped Kamal. There are so many videos out there for color, it might be a little redundant, but we'll see. You never know what I might do. Subscribe and you will get notice of new videos.

I'm so glad you found it helpful. Once you've master these basic shapes, you can model just about anything. Just break the image down into spheres (berries, apples), cubes (houses, boats, barns), cylinders (pipe folds in fabric, folds or wrinkles in skin, a turned back flower petal) or cones ( mountains, hillsides, lilies). Thanks for watching.

@@susanharper9904 I'm using what I learned to draw two christmas ornaments (spheres) and a candle (cylinder) together in a still life.

Great video however Im a bit confused about the sphere. You said you added the core shadow colour first as it is the darkest, but then it ended up looking paler and then you added more core shadow to make it darker. Where is the halftone please ???. Sorry....just trying to understand. :-)

I'm hoping to do a video on painting fabric folds. I just don't know when that will happen. Probably after the new year. Thanks for your interest Kyle and if you think of a specific thing you'd like to learn, please let me know and I'll try to do a tutorial.
