These designs are in my top 3 of favorite pattern types / styles. So beautiful!

These quilts are amazing and so impressive to my friends who don't quilt. I was lucky to take a lecture from her in Madison. The quilts are reasonable to make. I put one row next to the others to make sure I have them correct. Get that first triangle pointed in the right direction and the rest of the row just naturally points the correct way.

So impressed with your designs / creations. The brighter green background with the "wood look 3d structure" would appeal to my son, thus the question is that design/pattern included in your book? or can patterns be purchased individually. Regardless, I'd love to get that pattern and attempt that for my son's 2024 Christmas. Thank you for sharing your time and talent. Greatly appreciated.

Grandson chose the "Bolt" (see 4:40mins on your KZbin video) as his favorite. Wonder if you have a video tutorial on how to get started with this / other quilts. I'm such a visual learner and appreciate any help offered from you / others. Contacted local quilt shop in hopes of someone willing to "tutor" me. Thank you for sharing your talent and time.

I just got your Stunning 3-D Quilts book and love it. My question is if I made just the 3-D design that's in the middle, would it look funny to put squaring triangles for the outside background instead of lots of 60 degree triangles that don't actually touch the main focal object? And yes, I am very lazy. I was planning on making the floated star pattern.

I’m making the chain links, but want a smaller wall hanging size. Can you estimate what size the quilt will be if I use 2 1/2” strips? Or 2” strips?
@fifelakequiltersclinic51523 жыл бұрын
The Chain links pattern would finish to about 40'' x 60'' using 2½'' strips or 30'' x 48'' using 2'' strips

I am making the Treble Quilt which size triangle would I use to make a queen size quilt?
@CandTPublishing2 жыл бұрын
Hi Nancy! . The size of the quilt as written in her book is a twin size with about 12 inches of drop added. For this particular pattern, you could continue to add more rows and triangles to make it wider and longer. If you didn't want to do the additional piecework, you subtract your 1/2 inch seam allowance from the width of your strip and times it by the number of columns listed on page 35 to get the finished width of the project and the quilt will maintain it's the original shape with the extra drop. And if you wanted to reduce the piecing work even more - you could add borders to frame it!

Hi Stelina! There aren't any batiks in the book quilts, just normal cotton quilting fabric.

I went to a retreat at MSQ and started this. Having a really hard time getting the triangles lined up - any hints. I have your book, but still having issues. Thank you, Patti
@CandTPublishing2 жыл бұрын
Hi Patti - we posted this on behalf of Ruth Anne Barry to promote her book. Triangles can be tricky because inevitably, you're dealing with sides that have a bias stretch to them that may or may not sewn to a side that is also cut on the bias. I find it helpful if a heavily starch my fabric to keep it from stretching so much. Beyond that, even though it's labor intensive, a good pinning at the intersection of your triangle points can really help. And last, but not least, I like to press my seams open rather than in one direction when I have multiple points like this coming together. (But this can be a semi-heated debate among quilters - so I recommend trying both on a sample and seeing what you like!) I hope this helps! You may want to consider reaching out to Ruth Anne directly via her website. You might want to reach out to her on her website for more specific help.
