This video is my intro to quilting. When I first saw it I thought, "What is this wizardry? Is she seriously making a completely rad tablecloth in a day?" I quickly got this autumn rollie and some fabric from JoJo's and I made a table runner, a smaller double wide runner and three little pumpkins for my mom. It took me two days, but it's beautiful and I have already ordered another jelly roll to make something else... a QUILT! seriously, I'm sold! Thank you for making this fun and great video! Absolutely love that jr, Fall colors are my favorite. Great pattern. Thanks 🙏 Tip suggestion: before sewing the long strips together cut them in half. Yes, when doing jelly roll race type tops, pressing seams open improves the stability of the top. Open seams are just as durable as closed. And they don’t fight with each other at intersections. Also it makes less lumps.

Fabulous!!! I love it so quick and beautiful. Great tutorial you make it look so easy 😮 Question: It looked like you had your white strips folded when you cut them. When I cut fabric folded I usually get a bow in the fabric. How do I get a perfectly cut fabric. Help 😢
@seweasybysandy15 күн бұрын
Well, that is one reason why I decided to cut a wider strip and fold it, to make sure it was nice and straight. If the fabric is stirdy enough it won't bend but, more often than not, it does. This is one way to keep it from ruining the project 😃
@mamavibetribe8878Ай бұрын
Pressing changes the size of your block. Open will give you the largest block. To the side will make it smaller. Not a big deal on a block with a few pieces but a complex design can be completely thrown out if you don't press as per pattern. Sincerely former dark side addict 😂
