You content is exeptional, and provides a lot of new perspectives on ERP-systems and implementation. I would love a video on no/low-code as a way to empower employees to customize and further add services to the ERP-system.

Great video Eric. One problem with digital transformations I have found is that several times their ROI are negative, even when you take into account the soft benefits. Some key point then is to question and to value, what is the cost of delay or cancel the digital transformation project?, that can change the equation. Is it an actual option for the organizacions to stay frozen in such a turbulent technology world?, the answer seldom is no, it is not. Some times is not a cost/benefit issue but a survival one.

@@erickimberling thank you Eric for your reply i would say an erp for railway company to automate processes of rail freight transportation which is the main activity of the company . "for the passengers transportation we have ticketing system for that" and also to automate processes for other depatements : finance , hr ,maintenance of wagons. customer base .Asset Management.... i just work in it department. i want to acquire knowledge and skills about erp systems and how to implement them and managing digital transformation, in case if one day they hire me as IT director i'll be ready for that. for now we have a dumb IT manager he can never handle this kind of project. and this year our government is pushing public companies and government administration to go for digital tranformation . thank you so much Eric for all your videos i'm flooded by the their contents. ps i just picked SAP randomly as erp for that

Hi Badro, although I suggest you take Eric's advice (schedule time with him or his team), I also suggest you take a look at Odoo (www.odoo.com).

Business case should be the basic starting point for ANY business decision, it doesn't always have to be fully fleshed out, but the fact that it isn't IS A PROBLEM. As an ex-restaurant manager, an industry with tight-TIGHT margins, I find business decisions that are not based on business cases a bit befundling. Indeed, that it isn't the norm in some places but the exception is downright disturbing. It is all always about drilling down into the specifics and the details, so often people don't want to do that. You've got to see where the rubber and road meet.
