I love your approach that it’s OK to do what you like (and to make mistakes, LOL), but at the same time, you explain a rationale so that clayers can understand what and why you do something. I’ve been a PC hobbyist for almost 20 years, and am mostly self-taught. BTW, am very curious as to the origin of the name, “Turtle Soup Beads.” I have pet box turtles and I honestly think that the first time I watched one of your videos, it was because the name “turtle” caught my attention.

Susan this looks like a fun project to do. I have a question. What type of clay do you prefer when making canes? Let’s say in the Sculpey line. (That’s the only brand I use). Thanks for this video! I’m excited to make some cutter canes, I really want to make monogram canes... I wonder how difficult that’d be?

i love your videos this is how i learned how to make a cane !! you are amazing.....one thing though, your followers, when you look up turtle soup , such a cute name but it also brings up the most horrifying videos where people pour boiling hot water on LIVE turtles and you watch while they writhe in pain.I hate for such a cool talented person like yourself to be associated with something so terrible. my God i cant even watch something fun right now. ill get back to this lovely video.

Just know that you are inspiring me and other people to make the most beautiful things. The brutality in this world is a dark spot on humanity maybe someday we will overcome it all. I recently got a used pasta machine and for some reason it doesn't have numbers on the dial. Is 1 the thickest setting or the thinnest? I assumed it was the thinnest but you said you did the black on 1 and it looks thick. The one I got is heavy and well made so I'm assuming it's older from a time when the quality of things was more important. It has 8 settings.
