I agree with you Poppie Searchfield. I am in process of trying to find my way back into life and hopefully make something beautiful. I have lost my home and business of 30 years to fire one year ago . My quilts, library, tools, awards , things left to me by my grandmother, mother and sister who had just died the month before the fire struck. I had worked to rebuild my life from the time I was 20 after I had been shot in the chest and left paralyzed. I was pregnant when a man shot me and left in a coma for a month. The man who shot me only got 6 weeks in jail for stealing the gun he shot me with because I had lost my memory. The one great blessing in what happened was my baby lived. I worked hard for everything I had and it was all gone in just a few hours. I have PTSD from being raised with a brutal alcoholic father before I was shot at 20. After the fire I had nothing and was left homeless. It has been very difficult to find a way to rebuild . I'm now 70. I am trying to find my way again so yes I agree with you Poppie. I still have my skills I spent years learning , my son and friends and another home. I'm alive and breathing and will survive all that's happened and know even when You have nothing if You have hope and faith you will make it somehow.
