Excellent, thank you for pumping these out. This is exactly what i have been needing to level up some of the product /review shots for my intros when reviewing gear. Great notes on using the card stock. My green screen works well for me, but can never get it to key out smaller objects perfectly.

Thanks so much. I should do a full video on keying out objects on green/blue screen. Definitely rushed mine for this review.

Yes, please make more videos like these "[Creator's] style". Here's an idea, Danie Shiffer made a video with Pizza commercial where he let other people downlaod the footage and recreate what he did. So maybe you can take it and also create something. Could even do two, one, recreating what he created, two, creating something completely new :). That'd be fun to watch :).
@joserangelve4 жыл бұрын
Awesome bro. Just something: Daniel in fact he used the blue background because his can had some green in it. But normally green (since it generates more information in most digital sensors) is the most used. So maybe you would have had more freedom to key with a green background. Awesome video, really.

Love to see more schiffer style vids especially without using an IBIS cam handheld like he does. Removing the base - you could have done that with a power window and let the tracker do all that hard work of rotoing it for you...

@@JoshHanes Another keying trick is if your object does not have any black in it you can use a black BG and luma key it out and avoid a color spill.

how did you extend the blue screen to fill the whole video clip without having to crop in so close so the sides of the clip where there was no blue screen weren't scene?

It seems like you need to understand the image signal flow in Resolve. first, the can clip's blue background, which you keyed out in the Color tab turns black because of the alpha output you created there. since Fusion processes the image before it goes to the Color tab, it will give you the image before you key it unless you make it into a compound clip which will allow resolve to treat it as a source regardless of its content or what's going on within the compound clip. However, the Edit tab will process the adjustments made in the Color tab, which is why you see a black (actually alpha) background in the Edit tab. for your reference here is a brief of the image signal flow: "Source > Debayer > Clip Attributes > Optimized Media > Media Viewer > Edit Sizing > Fusion > Edit Effects > Fusion Cache > Color > Node Cache > Transitions > Sequence Cache > Delivery" * The Edit page Timeline Viewer: Shows clips with all Edit page effects, Color page grades, and Fusion page effects applied, so editors see the program within the context of all effects and grading. * The Fusion page Viewer: Shows clips at the timeline color space and gamma, with no Edit page effects and no Color page grades. * The Color page Viewer: Shows clips with all Edit page effects, Color page grades, and Fusion page effects applied. I'm wondering why you keyed out the splash stock video in Fusion but didn't key the can clip in Fusion as well? (you would have achieved a much better key) In fact, why did you have to key out the stock splash video in the first place, wouldn't a blend mode have worked much better since it already has a black background? am I missing something here?
@moazelgabry97844 жыл бұрын
If anybody is interested to know more about the image processing flow, check chapter 55 (p.1001) of the Davinci Resolve manual.
