This is a great video, BUT, there is much too much extraneous conversation. I just want to see the steps about how to create the interactive slide.The first 4 or 5 minutes in spent on unnecessary explanation.

I understand. This is simply a tutorial for those that may have never worked on Canva.

@@onlineadventureswithkelsey I've never worked on Canvas, but I was getting very impatient to get to the heart of the lesson. I will give it another shot, but it would be so much better if it were streamlined a little bit.

@@MsAfalda I did create another video where you create just a simple slide show on Canva in another video if you need some time to just play around on Canva. It is during the second half of this video. I hope this is more of what you're looking for: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYDEpGWCjNiDprM

One other question for you. Are the activities "self-correcting?" I assume so, but didn't see anything in the video about how it actually works. Thanks.

How do I use drag and drop activities in classpod?
@onlineadventureswithkelsey2 жыл бұрын
Hi! That is a great question. So on Classpod itself, you can screenshare. But learners would not have control of dragging and dropping during the lesson. Canva is great if you are wanting to use drag and drop activities like memory games, tic tac toe, etc. I hope that helps!

Couldn't you just lock the image part instead of creating the thumbnail?
@onlineadventureswithkelsey Жыл бұрын
To be fair, this tutorial was made about two years ago. So there has been quite a few changes since then. I can do an updated video with Canva if you would like that! Just let me know! :)
@AlphaBalance-h2k Жыл бұрын
I looked it up and apparently designs get rejected when something is locked. I don't actually know if this si true but an updated video would be great! @@onlineadventureswithkelsey

@@AlphaBalance-h2k ah, yeah. That’s why. And especially with formatting a template for others so that they don’t manipulate it like crazy is crucial.

Great. But how do st's get feedback if they're working on their own? This has to be used with the teacher right there .
@onlineadventureswithkelsey2 жыл бұрын
Hello! That is a great question! I usually use Canva during live lessons, and I give the students the link access for them to "edit" the slides (meaning they can move squares, pictures, etc.). I'm curious, do you teach on Outschool, Allschool, or something else entirely?
@onlineadventureswithkelsey2 жыл бұрын
If it's for a flex class (like on Outschool), I do the same thing where I give them access to the Canva link to "edit" the lesson, and learners either screen record how they are moving the slides, or with a screenshot of their completed work to share with me.

@@onlineadventureswithkelsey Hi, Kelsey. I'm from Argentina, Outschool/Allschool is not a common thing here. I've been teaching English for like...20 years now. All levels, but mainly at public primary schools. I'm about to get a Bachelor's degree in ITC for Education -fingers crossed!- I've subscribed to your channel, you have very interesting ideas I hope to put into practice someday, though access to digital technologies is limited"in this neck of the woods", especially for the kids I teach. Thanks for your reply and see you around..=)
