How To Create A Drip Paint Pot / Colorful Gardener

Hello! And welcome to my Gardening Channel, The Colorful Gardener. Today I wanted to share with you guys how I made these really cool drip pots! These pots are soo cool to show off some neat plants to friends and families! These also make great gifts for your gardening buddy!
First off. Prime your pot with exterior/interior paint. This helps the paint stick to the pot and also keeps water from absorbing into the pot.
Next, choose the colors you would like for your one of kind pot. I have used interior sample pints for my media. The three colors are by Benjamin Moore Summer Basket, Margarita, and Lemon. What fun names.
Apply the first coat as a base. I chose Summer Basket as the base coat. After that coat had dried I applied Margarite 2 inches down from the base of the pot. Taking big dollops of paint I let the green paint slide down the pot. I let the paint dry and do the same thing with the third paint, lemon.
Once the paint has dried. I apply a polyurethane spar finish on the painted pot to protect it from the weather. Wait 24 hours before touching the pot.
And Tada you have a very new handmade pot. Every drip paint pot will be different. Have fun!
