How to create a Fashion tech pack in Excel

We’ve talked about what a fashion tech pack is and how to create a basic tshirt tech pack in Illustrator. Today, I’ll show you how to create a clothing tech pack in Excel. You’ll follow the same steps to create your fashion design tech pack as you did when you created your tech pack in Illustrator. But this time, you’ll draw your flat sketches in Illustrator and import them into Excel. Filling out the fashion spec sheet and the bill of materials will be a lot easier. Doing a tech pack in Illustrator is great, but doing it in Excel is much more efficient, especially when you start creating your Bill of Materials and your fashion spec sheet. You still draw your sketches in Illustrator, but the tech pack is completed in Excel (or Sheets or Numbers).

Hi, thanks for watching and commenting! I appreciate you! I wouldn't use Indesign for this. Not as efficient, especially once you have to start entering information. Excel or another spreadsheet type of program is a better option.
