I’ve been following your work for a while now and I’m just mind blown by how you’ve evolved these past years. The dedication to putting out videos while you probably have so much to do is so appreciated. Especially when you reply to the majority of your comments both Instagram and KZbin. I would love to see more of behind the scenes footage of you working, directing the model and the setup. I am starting to pursue my dream of working with photography especially beauty and product photography and your photos are the epitome of what I’m trying to achieve. You are truly and inspiration to me.

I really do like watching how different professionals work and edit images. What I do like about your editing videos is the slightly different approaches you take. This video especially has taught me so much about an alternative use of the bnw adjustment layer and even though I use it frequently I’ve never used it to adjust skin tones like this. Thanks for this Kayleigh

This is *gorgeous* 😍 Have you ever had to work with greens in your photos? Like, a lot of greens? Would love to see how you go about editing them so they don't overtake other colors in the photo (and without making the whole photo look dark)
@KayleighJune4 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much Adriana! 😊 Do you mean greens in terms of clothing or backdrop/surroundings? I usually tone down the saturation if I'm working with greens in clothing. If it's in the surroundings and it's bouncing onto the models skintone, I usually try to use black card/v flats to block the green reflection, particularly when outdoors in greenery 🙂
@Adriana.Gabriela4 жыл бұрын
@@KayleighJune thanks for answering 😊 I meant the surroundings. I don't shoot beauty (mostly couples), but I always have that problem with greens, especially on the skin, bcs it's hard to avoid them where I live. But whenever I tried to make them look nicer, mostly with hue and luminosity, it would either make the whole image look too dark for my taste or too pastel. And I would always end up painting over the greenish skin parts which takes a lot of time. Will definitely try just desaturating them for the surroundings too!
@KayleighJune4 жыл бұрын
No worries! I'd also recommend potentially taking a 5-in-1 reflector or something similar that you can use to block the green reflections on the skin tone of your subject. 😊

Hello Kayleigh, i was thinking if you would put out one of your images for retouching, i will really appreciate that

I have been thinking about doing this for a while, maybe I can do that in addition to releasing another photoshop tutorial soon? So everyone can follow along with the retouching? 🙂

Do you have a favorite aperture for this kind of portrait work? Thanks for another useful tutorial 😊
@KayleighJune4 жыл бұрын
Hi Blake! Not particularly, I generally keep the aperture smaller (f14-f18) for studio purposes, I do this to really try and capture the detail in the skin. 😊

Awesome. But I have a question. How can I make a preset with all this settings for I can have the same color for the rest of my shooting ? This is a big problem for me and I don't know to resolve it. Should I buy a passport color checker, first ? Please, help me. Thanks a lot.

I only say this because im trying to be helpful but you should really look into making your videos higher quality. Do you record you screen with OBS? even at 1080P the details do not look great.
@KayleighJune4 жыл бұрын
It's interesting that you've said this because I do in fact use OBS to record my screen. I personally don't find too much issue with the quality at 1080p apart from when I use a small brush from time to time, it can be harder to view. If you've got any tips to optimize using OBS that would be great!

I watched this video (linked below) hope this helps. I was having trouble with quality when i recorded as well and this really helped. Also I love your videos keep up the great work girl! kzbin.info/www/bejne/d2PIpGSZiMhsqaM

It would be more interesting if u got a facecam with u while u do your tutorial, this feels slightly boring...
@KayleighJune4 жыл бұрын
I understand that some tutorials can seem drawn out, but I don't think the purpose of me filming tutorials is to always have my face shown. I'm here to help teach people editing techniques in Photoshop first and foremost. I definitely plan to use a facecam for some upcoming Photoshop videos, however they won't really be tutorial based.
